I Like this figure ! From the correct "Tan and Water" pattern smock to the unique paratrooper helmet the detail of this figure is just outstanding! I do have a group of four of the first generation Fallschirmjagers dressed up (and modified from other figures uniforms ) to display them as they were during the Ardennes Offensive ( Known in the U.S. as the "Battle of the Bulge ") But with this kit,straight from the box he is ready to go to his battle station at Gran Sasso.

GI Joe brings the arch enemy back with an interesting appeal, this German 1942-45 era special trained infantry soldier is loads of fun, not only can a child play war but they will learn history. Each package comes with a 22 full color pamphlet of war history. Most of it talks about WW2. This soldier is an accurate portrayal of America's deadliest enemy, he comes with a real oing mink hat, a st-3432 grenade "Flarsuvok" rocket launcher (does not eject anything), a sg-48 automatic machine gun, and a ration kit that includes little plastic spoons. I love this and so will kids. One good thing is that it is durable so if your kids use fire crackers on it or shoot it with bb guns the damage is minimal. Awesome!

Although the figure is a representation of the Fallshirmjager, I find it hard to believe that he would glide into the Gran Sasso raid with all the equipment he comes with. Don't get me wrong! This is a great figure with a lot of accessories.

The detail for the figure is tremendous. Not only the colors and make of the uniform, but the gear is not just visual. Most packs and kits with Ultimate Soldiers are just hard plastic; however, this figure has a hard plastic case and other gear which can hold things. Unfortunately, all the rifle ammo and grenades won't fit in it. The figure does have ammunition that he can hoist onto his shoulders in a couple of slings.

He comes with a couple German grenades (the ones with the handle), a helmet with webbing, rifle with workable tripod and removeable clip, and a pistol for firing flares. He has hat, jacket, pants, ascot, shirt, and boots to help round out the outfit.

For this figure, I have to comment on the sneer. It does give a sense of menace to the figure.

For a collector, I think that this is a great addition, but for children, there are too many small parts that can easily be lost or swallowed.

I have collected many ultimate soldiers by 21st century toys and have been pleased by the detail of the items. I have to give 21st century a hand in offering historical figures, not just "GI JOE and COBRA" type collectibles.

The first day I saw it I got it. At first, his smile was strange, but after I made a diorama, it fit in. I bought more and customized them. Overall, this is a great figure and is great if you like lots of equipment and great detail.

Quite possibly the finest axis figure produced by 20th century toys or Gi Joe. The outfit, gear, and overall assembled appearence are spectacular. The scoped FG 42 is also a very nice touch. One of the best features is the educational value. The inside box cover tells a brief synapsis of the Gran Sasso rescue, a well-executed operation. This figure is a must have for collectors or anyone who just likes a cool action figure.

This toy was great! It has many new things. Like a new FG-42 with a scope on it, New para helmet with webbing, a new headsculpt, a flare gun, and many more things.I would highly recommend this toy for collectors. Its very detailed, but not very expensive. I give this toy an A.

This soldier is heavily armed and ready to fight. At first his toothful grin seemed silly, but it grows on you. He comes with a peaked cap and a netted helmet. His MG is scoped and his has rolls of ammo wrapped around him. His red and white scarf is snappy too. An all around quality buy. All we need now is a Skorzeny figure and a Mussolini figure to fully recreate the great raid at Gran Sasso.
