I have been using this rack (Ultimate Support JamStands JS-SRR100) for about 3 weeks now and I love it. I loaded the top with a Behringer Onyx mixer (2442) and that took almost all the space in the top part (maybe 1.5U space left) which I have no use for anyway. I loaded the bottom with a 1U CD player and two large and heavy Bryston power amplifiers and it is all holding perfectly. The rollers work just great and the locking mechanism works perfect too. The rollers slip easily over my hardwood floor while locked but this has not been an issue for me at all (I use in stationary position 99% of time). The box it was received in showed signs that it took quite a beating during shipping and/or storage, yet everything inside was in good condition. All parts are sheet metal about medium gauge, with some plastic stops, and powder coated in black. There were no instructions provided, had to get the instructions from the Ultimate Support website, but assembly was straight forward, and it was better not to use the instructions because their instructions on installing the clip-on threaded nuts was misleading. All in all, I am very satisfied with this rack.

The Jamstand arrived on time. It was well protected, no problems whatsoever. The rack will give you a lot of space. The rack is good for either DJ/KJ or musicians. It is strong and easy to put together. It comes with a few screws but you probably need to buy more depending on the amunt of units that you are going to use. It took me 10 minutes to put it together. The tires are well constructed and have breaks wich is helpful. I would recomend this item for the price and quality. This rack also looks very professional and you don't need to take anything out in order to do your connections.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this because I didn't know if the "JamStands" moniker meant it was inferior quality. I have owned a lot of Ultimate gear and think the US stuff is very well-made; this stand isn't perfectly finished (some scratches and ugly welds), but it functions great and every rack gets dingy once you move equipment in and out a few times. I concur with the majority of the other reviews in saying that this is a very solid and versatile rack stand. The design offers a lot of rack spaces. Assembly was fairly straightforward, even without instructions. The casters are heavy duty but seem to get tripped up by low-pile carpet. Once it is loaded up it is less likely you will be rolling this all over the place, but it is extremely handy when you need to get to the back. The open design also facilitates great access to the back of your racked equipment.

I purchased an ATX computer rack case and the back of it rests nicely on the rear crossmember and offers additional stability. A large amplifer would probably work there nicely as well. As for the rack hardware, I prefer the retaining nut approach because they can easily be replaced, unlike when you strip a pre-threaded rack rail. However, the retaining nut clips are more difficult to insert than the SKB ones that I am used to using.

No assembly instructions....but none were really required. Putting it together was quite simple, actually. With the exception of one of the mounting holes was off center by about one 1/2 inch. I drilled a new hole and then it fit together fine. Shoddy workmanship at the factory. Seems like a solid unit for mounting your expensive electronics....but be prepared to do some work on it beforehand.

This product is very solid for the money. I have a tascam model 32 reel to reel tape recorder in the top space and it fits beautifully. This rack was easy to put together even though no instructions were included.
I just studied the picture on the box and then assembled it. The only reason that I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because the holes where you mount your equipment are square requiring you to either use the screws that came with it or standard nuts and bolts and washers. All in all it is a good solid product for the money as usual amazon delivered it on time, in fact a day earlier, nuff said.

A friend gave me a similar product that he was no longer using; I was looking for a second one for my studio. The problem was that I didn't really know what it's called.

If you are looking for a rolling rack with an adjustable tilt mixer section, I think this is the best one I saw during shopping. It is about $40 more than some I looked at, but I got the impressions from reviewers of the other products that they came with no instructions, missing or broken parts, and so on.

This piece is very well designed, it's strong (I have a 24 channel Allen and Heath mixer weighing about 90 pounds on it), and it went together very easily and quickly. It comes with rack screws and capture nuts so you don't need to buy those unless you prefer English to metric.

I would highly recommend this product over others I've looked at, including the one my friend gave me. It's fine, but the rack holes are tapped, which of course means they can be stripped and then you have a place that won't hold a fastener.

Good stuff. Ultimate Support makes good products, I also have 2 different keyboard stands that they haven't made for years and they are both completely functional and in good shape even after being heavily roaded.
