I've previously taken yoga before getting into more high impact workout routines like circuit training and plyometrics. After having my first child, I decided I'd like to get back into yoga. But, with an infant at home, getting to the gym or yoga studio isn't a possibility, so when I saw this book available for free, I decided to take a look.

This book is a great beginner introduction to yoga and concisely provides a well-rounded introduction. There are tips on getting off to a good start with a new yoga program. There is also guidance on types of equipment, aside from a mat, that you may want to invest in.

The focus is on hatha style yoga, and it breaks down poses for that particular discipline. I thought I might stick with the sun salutation sequence of asanas to start working out again. But after reviewing the series presented in this book, I have something on hand that offers more variety and challenge.

It was well worth the download, and I would purchase other titles by this author as it is very well written with easy to follow instructions and illustrations.

I read "25 Ultimate Weight Loss Yoga Poses" and enjoyed it very much. The majority of this book is images and descriptions of Yoga Poses. I found these quite helpful. As a beginner to yoga, I appreciate the detailed instructions about how to do the various poses. The illustrations are helpful too, in showing how the body should be aligned. The Table of Contents is very useful because it links to each of the poses. There is a brief description of yoga in the beginning, but the main focus of the book is on the poses.

The Kindle edition is very helpful, because I can have it in front of me as I do the exercises and don't have to worry about a book closing on me.

I did not see references in the book to weight loss. This is a helpful yoga book, and I would guess that the poses are helpful for weight loss purposes. However, this does not appear to be the focus of the book.

Most yoga books spend a great deal of time explaining what yoga is and only show people how to do a few poses. This book shows 25 different yoga poses with pictures and easy to understand instructions. The authors drew on their personal experiences not only in yoga, but other areas of fitness and nutrition as well, to come up with this simple guide for beginners. By spending only five minutes a day practicing different yoga poses a person can start to feel better physically and mentally. I loved that the book is so easy to read and understand. While it gives a general overview of yoga, it's not full of a lot of technical terms or in-depth discussions of techniques. The poses are also presented in a way advances a person in their yoga poses without feeling rushed or hurried. I read this book on my tablet, and thought it was great. Since my tablet is so portable I could place it right in front of me opened to the pose I was trying. This made it so much easier for to make sure I was doing everything correctly. I would recommend this book to anyone that is considering adding yoga to their exercise regimen.

I do not recall buying this. And, I don't need to have a book like this. Is there a way to return it?
