Wolverine and the Hulk have been at odds since, well, since Wolverine first started appearing in comics, making his debut in the old Incredible Hulk series back in the 70s. Well, even in the Ultimate universe, some things just never change. The often delayed Ultimate Wolverine VS Hulk is finally here in a collected format, and is a wild, audacious blast from beginning to end. Honestly, who would have ever thought that we'd see Wolvie get ripped in two and still live to take on the Green Goliath? Written by Lost alum Damon Lindelof and wonderfully drawn by Secret Invasion artist Leinil Yu, Ultimate Wolverine VS Hulk is ridiculous to its core (an exchange between Wolvie and Nick Fury has to be seen to be believed), and it's all the more enjoyable for it regardless.

Don't purchase this new, unless you're a collector. It's a fun story, but not one you'll read over and over. Recommended as a used purchase.

Good story, great art and good action however. There could have been more added to it, in terms of the fight, Wolverine is taking on the Hulk and one could argue that every thing happened so fast and there was no time to react, but it would have been nice to see Wolverine do what he is best at, and now we know that his joints are not Adamantium laced.

The story does go back and forth before it gets back to the main event, but the dialogue had me laughing so I didn't mind the build up process. If your hoping to find a great fight between Wolverine and the Hulk you might be disappointed where Wolvie is concerned but the dialogue and the art makes up for that.

So this title took FOREVER to finally complete, but it was worth it.

The story isn't just a Wolverine vs. Hulk story that you would commonly think it is. It introduces a new She-Hulk into the Ultimate Universe, and as a whole is a pretty entertaining story. There are a few times I laughed out loud at things in it.

The art is also very good. Ever since Lenil Yu was introduced to me, I loved his stuff. He makes the effort to make everyone look different, and his art is full of action. Some of it is "sketchy" at times, but its nothing to shake a finger at. The only thing about the art though is that the book took so long to complete, his art style changes a bit near the end of the book. It's not a drastic change by any means, but you can tell that by the time the book came out he found his groove.

All in all its a really fun read and I would recommend it to anyone. You don't need to really have read any Ultimates books or Ultimate X-Men books before you pick this up either. If you know who the Hulk is and Wolverine, you are good to go. A HIGH 4 out of 5 for me.

Well I am a Hulk fan and always enjoy seeing the Hulk pitted against other big name characters, especially wolverine. I thought the Hulk vs. Wolverine dvd was a much better storyline than this. This had it's good moments, but over all it was really lacking. The art was fantastic and no real complaints there. The story I felt was a bit jumpy. It do appreciate flashbacks and the such, but when it has about a dozen or more flashbacks (present, past, present, past, past?, present?) it's gets jumbled pretty quickly. I deffinately would recommend reading it, I just won't read it more than once.

One of the other major turn-offs in this book and just about any comic book, is the silliness of just random half naked women. Take for instance the monastary where Hulk is surrounded by half naked women, it just felt forced and weird.

I choose three stars: the art work was good, the story was ok..not too impressed with it. That's probably why I chose three three stars. However, I do like the delivery of the comic on the kindle fire. When you double tap the screen it will enlarge the current comic square you are reading and as you swipe to turn the page it movies to the next square.

The price of this comic is totally worth it!

If you are not familiar with the Ultimate universe (as Im not) you will enjoy this story, its good the character development its great (you understand the reasons why they are there), a couple of twists in the original story of the marvel universe made he story even greater at least for me.

I bought this one when it was released -was it two years ago already? I read it and I remember I enjoyed a perfectly delightful reading and mind blast. I promised to myself I would return to it.

A week ago I saw the regrettably recent movie "The Wolverine", and it was a bad move -really. So then to heal the bad memory it left and to feed my appettite for real Wolverine stories I got back to reread the memorable Wolverine books I have, from BWS Weapon X, Not Dead Yet, Larry Hama's... and all the ones you know or are probably thinking about. I was having a ride, but I was not expecting the ride would get a rocket boost when I got to reread this one.

The art is, well, I am biased... Leinil Yu's Wolverine and Hulk have always entranced me. And here Leinil is the best at what he does. Nuff said.

The story, I'd hate to spoil it, but it is very possibly what yuo are longing to read if tired of the routine action story and standard characterization. Here you get insights that were always core-defining for these characters, suddenly revealed with humorous sharpness in their conversations and actions -even when free falling from a plane. Banner goes to therapy in Paris. Wolverine complains about having been ripped of his soul. Hulk gets a bit retarded when mumbling about Betty. Fury interrogates Wolverine -with an interesting leverage over the mutant. Two super monsters have a romanitc encounter in the Himalayas. We also join for a moment Iron Man and Cap America while they enjoy a lil' game. Betty also ruminates about her love for Banner. And somebody in SHIELD goes to great lengths to obtain a specific bootleg movie before its original release -or is this SHILED agent really conspiring against the United States?
