This book takes core training to a higher level with its on-the-ball variations of traditional mat exercises. The program produces numerous health and fitness benefits, including stronger abs, a more supportive back, improved posture and better performance in sports.

Product Description

From shapely abs to the "Pilates Powerhouse," core strengthening has become the main focus for today's exercise enthusiasts. Now, Ultimate Core Ball Workout takes core training to a higher level with its on-the-ball variations of traditional mat exercises.

The unique benefits of ball training enable the program in Ultimate Core Ball Workout to produce better results in less time. Any crunch will work the abs, but this book's crunch on the ball simultaneously engages the stabilizing muscles of the abdomen and lower body, working more muscle and producing a more sculpted midsection faster. The exercises outlined in this book are suitable for all levels, from beginner to fitness professional, and the photo sequences and clearly written captions teach proper techniques.

Offering more than just good-looking abs, the program in Ultimate Core Ball Workout produces numerous health and fitness benefits, including a stronger, more supportive back, improved posture, better performance in sports, and even more enjoyable sex. Plus, each exercise is presented with tips and modifications to increase the challenge so readers can continue to improve and get stronger over time.

Excellent beginner's book September 21, 2005
Format:Paperback
Having had a little exposure to doing a workout with an exercise ball, I was looking for something I could use on my own at home. This book is thoughtfully written, clear about what to focus on and concise about how to progress from level to level without injury. As a former dancer I really appreciated the instructions for alignment, and would recommend this book to anyone who is a beginner in this type of workout.

I am a certified group fitness instructor. I purchased this book in order to prepare to teach a weekly one-hour exercise ball class. This book is excellent because it offers information about progression (the order in which to perform specific exercises). It also offers suggestions for "5-minute total core blasts," if you have limited time on a particular day. The descriptions and photos provide all of the details you need to get started...and get a great core workout. I definitely recommend this book.

As a pro trainer, I am very fond of books that are helpful to the fitness beginner.

If you are just starting out and interested in a good program utilizing the exercise ball, then this book is one you will want to add to your fitness library.

Great variations with good progression plan.

Very good, but not 5 stars
I found the product to be very informational. One flaw though, is the setup of the book. Other than that, I would give it an A+.
