Great Collection of Songs,
By
This review is from: Ultimate Worship Collection (Dlx) (Audio CD)
The Ultimate Worship Collection may not be the "ultimate" collection, but it is pretty darn close. It features many of the most popular songs that are heard in modern praise and worship services and a lot of them have received a "pep" up with guitars and a little "grunge." If you can handle this upgrade, you will be very surprised. Lord, Reign in Me is very catchy and fast paced. While not as popular, Days of Elijah is one of the very best on this collection. All of the songs are excellent and put you in the mind of worship. The only downside is the quality of some of the voices on the collection. Some of them really pronounce the word "heart" in a very odd and distracting way. The singer on "Come, Now Is The Time...." is not very good and on "God of Wonders", the background singer is simply not loud enough and is actually a distraction. All in all, this is an amazing collection of Praise and worship music and you will be blessed.

Joel Engle is awesome,
This review is from: Ultimate Worship Collection (Audio CD)
I just went to a camp that Joel Engle led worship at and it was amazing. Believe it or not, the vast majority of these songs do not "belong" to any one band, but have been written by songwriters and can be sung by anyone who gets permission. This is a great CD- I think the other review was naive to think that lots of different bands would be singing songs if it didn't say so on the label.

I bought this cd at walmart. there was no indication on the cd that the songs were not sung by the original bands. I tried to return this cd at walmart and they wouldnt take it back. basically if you want a collection of worship music done by the original bands and singers. Dont buy this cd.
