Patricia O'Grady lives on the West Coast of Florida with her husband William. She also shares her home with 2 Yorkshire Terriers, and a talking Quaker Parrot. She is originally from Long Island, New York. Patricia is a professional dog trainer with experience in all breeds. She has raised, bred and trained champion Yorkshire terriers for over 25 years. She's a self-taught cook that enjoys creating new recipes, cooking and eating healthy. She hopes that her success and mistakes as a breeder, trainer and pet owner will benefit other dog lovers and their pets. I was looking for a good introductory book on Yorkshire Terriers - I've always loved these sweet little bundles of fur. The author is an excellent writer, making this book super easy to read and understand. She covers a lot of topics, but the ones I found most useful for myself was the origin of the breed, breed standards, puppy training, and the health concerns particular to the Yorkies. I'll be keeping this book on my bookshelf as a reference after I find my own little darling!

This book is exactly what you need if considering getting a Yorkie or already own one. I have had mine for 5 years and this book answers all my questions about her behavior and what to expect. I found the Ultimate Yorkie book very interesting. I truly bought this book for a friend that has a Yorkie but I had to sit and read it myself first. Very nicely done and beautiful cover. We have personally made the dog food for our Black Lab and is truly good for the dogs. I have received more compliments on our dog's beautiful and soft coat.

For anyone that has a Yorkie or are contemplating getting a Yorkie this is a must have and an excellent book.

You can certainly tell that Patti has Yorkie's of her own to put this type of book together and lots of expeience with them. An excellent book for all Yorkie Lovers.
