This review is from: Ultra Dance 2: DJ Encore (Audio CD)
At this very time, I'm listening to this CD. It hasn't left my CD in 2 weeks and love every minute of it. It's a great CD set jam packed with the best songs from around the world. I've always been a fan of DJ Encore and he shows that he has great taste in music. Since I have the first CD in, I'll give you a song by song review (first CD only).1) Thank You (Deep Dish Vocal Remix) - Dido 2) They Say Vision (DJ Encore Remix) - Res 3) We Are All Made of Stars (DJ Tiesto Vocal) - Moby 4) Heaven (Extended Mix) - DJ Sammy & Yanou feat. Do 5) I See Right Through to You (Pulser Remix) - Dj Encore 6) Who Will Love Me (Radio Edit) - Riva feat. Dannii Minogue 7) Wanna Be With Me - Da Buzz 8) Omnibus - Laut Sprecher feat. Katie Skate 9) Fire (Orange Factory Vocal) - Dolce 10) The Sound of Goodbye (Robbie Rivera Vocal) - Perpetuous Dancer 11) Safe from Harm - Narcotic Thrust feat. Yvonne John Lewis 12) Sunglasses at Night (Extended) - Tiga & Zyntherius Well that's it for CD #1! The first CD is alone worth the price so go for it! You'll love it!

Ultra Dance 01 was a great cd, and still is... it's one of those dance comps i will never get tired of... Ultra Dance 02 is following in its footsteps! DJ Encore did a nice job, although nothing special, with the mixing. The track selection is really really good, with a lot of songs that arent on any other mix cd's as of now. Included is the latest song from Da Buzz "Wanna Be With Me"... a love this song. It came out a while ago in europe, this is its first USA release. Great followup to "Let Me Love You Tonight". This cd is worth is just for that one song! 2 cd's of pure hi energy dance music, including some very mainstream tracks and some from the underground, should satisfy every dance music fan! Definitely pick this one up!!

Vocal trance and more,

After purchasing this cd 3 years later after it came out (many stores didn't sell it but they sold the other Ultra compilations), I'm so glad I finally got my hands on it! Disc one was more dance and house, with the second disc being more European trance. DJ Encore really mixed this album well, and props for putting Take Me Away (Into the Night) onto the album, because it's my favorite 4 Strings song and it's rare!! My suggestion- buy this album if you love vocal trance. The playlist is very good!

Better Than "Ultra Dance 01.",

Ultra Dance 01 was a promising collection assembled by Johnny Vicious that was weighed down considerably by the second disc, which I still haven't yet warmed up to. But on this second volume, mixed by DJ Encore, the groove is much more consistent. We have familiar remixes of Dido and Moby, plus we have the inescapable trance remake of Bryan Adams' "Heaven" by DJ Sammy (Memo to Sammy: hang on to your paychecks. This song has "one hit wonder" written all over it). Dannii Minogue (Kylie's sister) also stands out in the pumped-up "Who Will Love Me." But there are cheesy moments. I don't think there's been a huge demand for a Eurodisco remake of Madonna's "Like a Prayer," but we have it here anyway, thanks to Mad House. And, boy, it's so cheesy it looks better on a pizza. But you have to give DJ Encore props for including the soulful Latin vibes of Masters at Work, who are represented on the infectious "Work." All in all, this disc should hit the spot for most dance music lovers. In my school of music, "Ultra Dance 02" gets a B.

After listening to the first ultra dance, i was psyched to get this album. i listened to it and enjoyed it, however there are a few songs that i didn't agree with. those songs were "Omnibus,Open Your Box & Work". I admit Omnibus was good at the beginning, but it just got gay after the baby vocals said omnibus for the first time. but the real evil of this album was disc 2's "Open Your Box & Work". Open Your Box actually made want to A)hammer a nail right into my forehead or B)take a bat with a nail sticking out of it and...you know and the same goes with Work. The rest of the album is good and/or decent, personal favorites are Res,the Riva/Dannii Minougue collaboration,Jam & Spoon,DJ Tiestos collaboration with Suzanne Palmer and his remix of Moby and Tigas cover of "sunglasses At Night".

I have to say it is probably the best ultra dance out there. The remixes for "I See Right Through To You" by DJ Encore, and "They Say Vision" by Res were very impressive. Sunglasses at Night wasn't quite going along with the hard dance genre...though. Perpetuous Dreamer's "Sound of Goodbye" Robbie Rivera Remix was a very great track, along with Jam & Spoon's "Be.Angled" Paul Van Dyk Club Mix. DJs@Work's "Someday..." was a more "trancy" track, but it went perfectly into the CD.

These CDs have some good songs like "Heaven" and "Wanna be With Me" and some bad tracks like "Fire" and "Laut Sprecher." There are a few more good songs and a few more bad songs, one of which is "I See Right Through To You." I like the old version of that song a lot but this version... It sounds like a bunch of crap. I mean why would DJ Encore screw up his best song. It's stupid. Another bad song is the one by Omnibus. It sounds like two babies talking to each other. All the song is is these two babies saying "icsa" and "omnibus." One other good song is the remake of "Like a Prair." That version sounds better than Madonna's original version of it. Another good song is the remix of "They Say Vision." I admit that DJ Encore did a great job with that remix, making it better than the origial version. Overall, weighing everything in, this CD is just okay.

Not As Good as Ultra Dance 1....,

Ultra Dance 2 did not have the same high-driven intensity as Ultra Dance 1. I found alot of the beats to be over repetitive and became very monotanous. I was kind of disappointed that it did not elevate from the Ultra Dance 1 set.

pretty good,

Had a lot of good songs a few that were just okay. For the most part I was happy with it and worth the money.
