Take a listen for a great, unique sound.,

How do you describe a record that has what this record has? I bought it solely after falling in love with the single "Please Believe", and it's yearning theme and charming keyboard riff. It's not exactly representative of the whole album, but then again, none of the 16 songs are, which is part of why it's so remarkable. A lot of guitar/keyboard-driven techno-rock with great hooks resides in the album, resulting in the speedy tracks "Revenger" and "Everything", the semi-driving "Samovar", and the bouncy "La Futura". "Starwood" and "Move" are two of the most beautiful tracks, with sweeping keys and thoughtful introspection, (with "Starwood" adding some distorted guitars halfway through). My favorite song is "Stormy Hill", a mid-tempo modern pop tune, with a great melody, cool shuffle beat, and a simple keyboard riff that compliments the song well. A marvelously crafted album that does a great balancing act between guitars and keyboards, mini-epics, (like "Starwood") and random thoughts, ("Move", "Here"), "Ultra Forever" creates wide-eyed original modern rock with ear-candy precision.

Timeless Rock,

Fold Zandura is one of those bands that could have been concidered great in the eyes of the public but was lost in the mass of independently released albums of the late 90's. Although plagued with many side projects, front man Jyro created one of the greatest albums in my very humble opinion. The fusion of electronica, rock and pop is uncomparable to any other artist. Way ahead of their time, Fold Zandura will be listened to for years to come as a unsung pioneer in alternative music. From the first ambient vocals to the final soaring guitars, Ultraforever is a journey reminiscent of Pink Floyd, a rarity in today's music. Ultraforever IS a MUST HAVE album. staticfish

Why does christian rock have to be followers?,

If you have followed these guys since the days of Mortal, then you know that there are a few christian acts that do lead. Fold Zandura creates a fresh sound in the world of mostly copied sounds. The fused sound of techno/electronica/industrial/pop keep the sound new for each song. Definite must have.

One of the Best Unheard of bands,
By A Customer

These guys haven't got an iota of the attention they deserve. They rock with the best out there, and then add wierd loops of keyboard and drums and noize to make something outstanding. If "Alternative" is getting old for you, give this a shot.

One of the best mixes of Techno and Alternative ever!!,
This review is from: Ultra Forever (Audio CD)
Fold Zandura is a great band with a very new, fresh, cutting edge sound. The songs are heartfelt with great lyrics and the music is energitic and good. "Please Believe", their first single, was a great ballad of sincerity and apology, not to mention just a great song. But don't let it fool you into thinking these guys are soft, because the rest of the album is up beat and chalked full of energy. Powerful drums and great hooks make this album a must for every music lover. Strains of Techno, alternative, and Pop can all be found, making this, in my opinion, one of the best albums to come out of the 90's.

This recording is a must. Very diversified styles, something you haven't heard yet. It's got drive, it's got melody, it's got distortion, techno influence... it's different and you'll like it. Chock full of 16 tracks. Check it out.

This is it...get it before it's gone...,

This band has been around for, well, ultraforever! They were originally a group called Mortal that started back in the late 80's/early 90's that helped pioneer the industrial/electronic music scene, but also helped to pioneer the concept of alternative music in the Christian music scene. Those were days when the closest thing to alternative was Whiteheart or Guardian who were both still stuck in 1985. Fold Zan has been in the making for 10 years now, and through many rough experiences, has come out with their pearl of achievement: Ultraforever. It's well mixed with fast and slow tracks that intoxicate your eardrums, and make you press the repeat button over and over. When I first bought it in '97, I was like whoa...this is interesting, but when I really sat down to listen to it I've been hooked since. It still goes in and out of my CD player to this day. So for a melody with some originality, vitality, and gosh darn it, some virtuosity, then Ultraforever is where it's at!

A fitting title, 12 years later...,

My Dad played this a few times when I was 11 and now being 23 I HAD to listen to it again. I'm a huge fan of BritPop (Oasis, The Verve, Coldplay, The Smiths, etc.) and after draining most of the genre in recent years, I NEEDED to hear something epic again. For some reason, a small piece of me remembered this band and how cool the album sounded compared to everything else back in the late 90's. My listening tastes have most certainly evolved from 10 years ago but somehow Fold Zandura's sound still resonates in my head. WOW! Was that one heck of a listen or what! I love when an album sounds so complete but yet all the songs are still their own. It took me 30 min. to finally find the name of this band mentioned in a forum and boy am I glad I found it. Overall a very cool album that takes me back to the dopeness of 90's alternative rock.
