I think lounge means different things to different people and so it is hard to evaluate this album. I find it enjoyable as music I can listen to (i.e. "pay attention to") as well as for background music. There are a couple of tracks that I don't care for, but I think that most people will say the same. Overall, I am glad I bought it and play it when I am in the mood for something fun but not too intense.

You know, as I get older I have found that I tend to appreciate all music a bit more. I've never really considered lounge music a real music until I came across some albums cut from the Jazz Genre that were labeled lounge. My first thought was a 1960's hospitality bar with drinks and lighting and this music playing in the background. I kind of liked that imagined atmosphere and began to appreciate lounge music as a viable section of Jazz. I find it soothing and relaxing, and I plan to buy more.
