I just wanted to comment on the issue raised by the previous reviewer about whether or not this disc plays in computers- I bought this CD, and it DOES play in my computer's CD-ROM drive, so it apparently works with some computers and not with others.

I'm a big fan of the Ultra-Lounge series, especially the vocal and tv-themed issues. "Vegas, Baby!" continues the fine Ultra-Lounge (Grammy-winning) tradition of outrageous packaging and 60's cheeseball music. If you like "Swingers," the Rat Pack, or the decadence of Vegas and its showtune-style in general, this is the CD for you.

No album with the name "Vegas" in the title would be complete without the vocal stylings of Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Tom Jones, or, of course, Wayne Newton. Yep, we've got "Danke Schoen," we've got the quintessential Tom Jones Vegas tune "It's Not Unusual," and we've got the "theme song" from the original "Ocean's Eleven": Dino singing "Ain't That a Kick In the Head."

The only downside is that this album is similar in theme and overlapping in tunes with the "Wild, Cool & Swingin'" albums that Ultra-Lounge has previously put out. I own both of those, but I thought there was enough new music to make this purchase worthwhile.

This is the soundtrack for cheesy, wonderful, 60's Vegas. Plus, the "Limited Edition" version you're looking at has a fuzzy craps-table felt exterior with a little roulette wheel in the center. All this and a Bobby Darin bonus track. "It is betting time!"

Believe when I say that I can't believe that I'm now a FAN of this type of music. You'll want to turn your stereo louder and louder still... Until you disappear into a Vegas showroom.

Each track bursts with the aura of that time and gives you a new respect for another interpretation of what those old black jazz musicians created for this country to really enjoy!

Another fantastic compilation from the folks at Ultra-Lounge by Capitol. This CD is a really great mix of fun Vegas songs!! If you like the Ultra-Lounge series, this is a must have and if you don't have any, it's a good one to get you startd! I highly recommend this! You won't be disappointed!!

I love the Ultra Lounge series and was thrilled to find their Vegas compilation - right after my first trip to Vegas with a group of friends. The limited edition "fuzzy poker table" felt cover with 'real' roulette wheel is the greatest! IThe music instantly transports you to Vegas and the cool brat pack 1950s. Most albums have a track or two you want to skip, but I haven't found one yet on this CD! and the inside illustrations are groovy too. I play it at parties and everyone wants to know what is is (and to play with the roulette wheel). gave this CD as gifts for my whole group of Vegas trip pals this year. Enjoy!

The listeners of our internet radio station ratpacklive.com constantly are asking for CD's that are a great mix of music from the Rat Pack Era like we play. This CD is AWESOME! It's an excellent mix of the music we love to hear! Totally recommend you add this one to your collection!

This disk is defective because it does not conform to the Compact Disc Digital Audio format. It is not a true "CD" as we have come to know it. Do not buy it because you will not be able to play this disk in your computer CD drive, or convert the songs into MP3 to play in your MP3 player. I recieved this disk as a christmas gift from my father and I was quite upset to find out it is defective since the disk is not labeled as being "copy protected" in any way. By "copy protecting" this disk, Arista records is attempting to deny you your rights of fair use.
