This is a fantastic hockey mask! My son played in local & statewide inline tournaments as goalie for nearly 3 years in this exact model. You can't beat the value, and Mylec knows how to build quality into their gear. As far as I can see, there is only 1 down-side to this mask...it isn't certified for use in sanctioned games. In the 3 years of solid use, the mask never broke down but in only ONE of the many sanctioned tournaments, he was told he was required to have a "certified mask" (next time) or he couldn't tend goal. Also, be sure to get yourself a throat guard if your child is playing with serious opponents.
