Hi,
This is my all-time favorite movie. "Why?", you might ask. Maybe I'm an adrenaline junkie who doesn't know how to call it quits. Maybe this movie is like having the tendrils of a thousand infectious neural tubes pumping your system full of neurotransmitters that shouldn't exist.
I liken watching this film to waking up surrounded by utter darkness; you feel hot breath on your neck and can't tell if it's your lover inviting you to a realm of ecstasy or the panting of a Satanic rat lord about to nibble through your spine. Maybe you panic, maybe your mind wanders to that time you told your playground buddies that the spongy mossy ground was a sign from Jesus, or that time you snagged the fishing lure in the pine tree overhead and your futile yanks sent little pine needle shards into your eyes that stung like the queen mother jellyfish. You wonder if these memories, if anything, matters as your mental and biological selves decompose into fertilizer for tomorrow's harvest of suffering and bliss. Now you see that the Ouroboros must eventually swallow its own head, and now you know the meaning of Ultra.
