A good introduction to UWB systems,

This review is from: Ultra Wideband Systems: Technologies and Applications (Communications Engineering) (Paperback)
This book provides a good overall introduction to Ultra Wideband Systems, from signal, modulation and multiple-access to antenna design and standards. Certainly suitable for someone who wants a book on the subject that is not too overwhelming with details and equations but yet is detailed enough to gain some insights into how UWB systems work.

Biased - Only for fans of MB-OFDM,

This review is from: Ultra Wideband Systems: Technologies and Applications (Communications Engineering) (Paperback)
This book presents a very narrow view of UWB systems. It's main purpose is to promote MB-OFDM; no surprise here given that both authors are its inventors.

This review is from: Ultra Wideband Systems: Technologies and Applications (Communications Engineering) (Paperback)
Ultra Wideband Systems clearly presents the history and technology behind this important emerging communications segment. The review details UWB concepts in a practical manner easy to grasp, yet includes significant technical exposition for those wishing to "drill" down into the advanced equations needed by tomorrow's practitioners. Thorough examination of today's regulatory issues provides critical information required for real-world product deployment. This book focuses exclusively on modulation methods and analysis rather than examining particular circuit developments or components which rapidly become obsolete. The information presented will certainly remain useful and pertinent as UWB systems become mainstream.
