Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Safely Destroys Data and Ensures Your Privacy!

Your computer contains a goldmine of information about you. Every file you save... every letter you write...every email you send and every webpage you visit is stored on your computer's operating system as magnetic data. Even your company's financial, legal, marketing as well as your clients information is retained in a variety of places on your hard drive. If you think that deleting files you want to keep private gets rid of them for good, you're wrong! You may not be able to see them, but they're still there, stored in your operating system as magnetic data. Even data that was deleted months or even a year ago could be lurking underneath your present data, waiting to be recovered by anyone who knows how to restore it... and it's surprisingly easy to do with widely available undelete utilities.

Consider all of the data that is stored on your PC:
• Financial data
• Medical data
• Legal data
• Emails
• Internet Surfing information (url list, history, and images)
• Personal documents
• Sales contact information
• Product development plans
• Marketing plans
• Trade secrets
• Data Security Solution
• Tax documents...

NOW, YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR DATA BEING RECOVERED BY SOMEONE.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth $50+, October 2, 2003
This review is from: Ultra WinCleaner 2003: Destroy It (CD-ROM)
This product really doesn't do much at all. I purchased it for free after rebate, thinking it was one of wincleaner's suites. In reality, it is just a data removal solution, which you can get for around $20 or even free. A better use of money would be to buy Norton Systemworks, which sells for the same price (and often free after rebate), and includes everything available in this product in addition to hordes of other useful tools.

I was pleasently surprised by this product. One of its greatest features is that you can run it entirely off of CD - no installation is required. It has a number of features including the ability to delete files, to scramble that "empty" space on your hard drive, zap entirely hard drives, and it even comes with 5security settings and the ability to program your own security destruction code. My only complaint is that the instructions are printed on the cheap carboard that keeps the box's shape.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, bad execution, August 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Ultra WinCleaner 2003: Destroy It (CD-ROM)
The whole concept of data-destorying concept is very good...it is necessary to use such a program to destory important data. This program, however, represents a poor execution. For exmaple, when "zapping" a hard drive to remove previously-deleted files, it removes only the data, not the file name. In addition, the user interface is dated and unprofessional.
