I have purchased many rechargeable batteries for the things I have and do. With regular rechargeable batteries as many know you loose power from the time you charge them.

With Hybrio power loss is a thing of the past. Charge them today and 6 months from now you can use them in your device. I have both flavors that are available, AA and AAA. They charge just fine in any NiMh battery charger. They are very good in the cold (I use them in motion detection cameras in the woods) and like NiMh they discharge by using up the amp hours rather than loosing volts. When they are nearly used up they still show 1.2 volts on my battery checker. Whereas alkaline show voltages of less than .8 volts. You will like them, give them a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strobe power deluxe, January 4, 2009

I purchased these after reading strobist.com recommending the Sanyo version. The main reason is for portable strobe units. My cycle time at full power went from 7+ seconds to < 3sec. Performance plus reusability these babies rock. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about charging them right before a job since the power leakage in idle is pretty low.

I've used about 2 dozen of these batteries for a year. They recharge fast and hold up pretty well.

However, be sure you get the batteries with the red label as pictured here (it's actually red on one end, green in the middle and black on the other end). Some of mine have the older green label (mostly green and black). The older ones are slightly thicker and don't fit in a couple of my kid's toys. One of the Amazon stores actually sent me both the older and newer ones and I didn't realize the difference until a few months later, when it was past the return date. If you happen to get the green ones, I'd suggest asking for a replacement. But overall, I am very happy with these batteries.
