To start this was shipped to me a whole two days before expected, but I suppose that's because I live near a manufacturer. the first thing I did was get the measuring tape and begin measuring the sections of the staff (I've had a few bad experiences before) the measurements were exact except for slight variations on the diameter of one end it was 1/4 of an inch thicker (making it a full inch in diameter but unnoticable to the nacked eye). After measurements I decided to perform a few simple moves with it. it handles nicely and felt great. I'm glad to have gotten the waxwood, it's light and quite durable for it's size. I highly recommend it.
