Product Description

Amazon.com

Ultrasonex toothbrush users find that this ultrasonic toothbrush continues to bust through plaque and maintain clean teeth between trips to the dentist. However, to get the full cleaning effect, you’ll need to remember to replace the brush head when bristles begin to look bent and worn. This three-pack of replacement brush heads stores in the medicine cabinet until you need it. All brush heads are compact-sized, offering a smaller head and jagged rows of bristles, and easily press onto the end of any Ultrasonex toothbrush model. --Cristina Vaamonde

5.0 out of 5 stars Great brush... get one for everyone... but $10 for heads?, November 7, 2005
By
This review is from: Ultrasonex BH03A 3-Pack Compact Brush Heads (Health and Beauty)
I love this brush after buying it over two years ago now. It has stood up well, the recharger works like a dream, and everything is great....

Except these ridiculous replacement heads. Let's be honest. Because everything in North America is a rip off if there isn't a huge demand for it. So the dear folks are going to justify that they had to make plastic molds and all of this and all of that to make it sound reasonable that they are charging you $9.99 for three pieces of $0.03 plastic fitted with some $0.01 plastic bristles. And of course I'd choke if someone told me that this thing wasn't actually made in China, so I'm not going to buy the Made in America speal either.

So here's an answer for this rant... and their rip off for after service that should cost you a max of $3 not $10 or $15 as advertised....

I'm not a dentist so if one sees this, please tell me all the ways that I'm wrong...

--1. take a wet q-tip and clean inside of toothbrush head out with a little soap and water.

--2. wash tip of toothbrush as well.

--3. take a coffee cup, fill a quarter to a third of the way full with hydrogen peroxide, place heads inside cup, swish around to get air bubble out of inner pocket, and place toothbrush stem down into the peroxide to make sure it gets a good sterilization too.

--4. go to bed

--5. get up, rinse off with water, dump hydrogen peroxide down the sink, and brush away.

I keep the heads in rotation, letting them dry between changes every week or so. There have been a few recent studies that now point out that we should change our brushheads every two weeks because the bacteria and so on that they carry within them can be a major source of chronic illness that we keep reinfecting ourselves with each time we use a dirty toothbrush.

But in the presence of oxygen in the form of ozone, which is all that hydrogen peroxide is, H202, none of those critters can live.

I've been using the same brushheads for these past two years now and they haven't even bent out of shape either.

Enjoy the Ultrasonex!! Great brush!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Toothbrush Available Today, May 12, 2004

The Ultrasonex Toothbrush is not only the best deal in town, it is the best Toothbrush available today. I have four of them at home, used by my 8 and 12 year old boys, my wife and I. Bottom line results,,, no cavities for anyone in the last 4 years, which is simply amazing. Why? Built in 3 minute timer polices the real amount of time you need to do a good job, absolutely essential for the kids. Makes your mouth feel like a million bucks when finished. Battery packs hold up over the years, no replacement batteries, always charged up for maximum cleaning power. Brushes are easy to replace. Toothbrush cleans up easily eliminating additional threat of bacteria. If you are really interested in healthy teeth and gums, don't pass this one up......
