This is not a wild claim! I've been using this product for about 8 years upon the advice of my peridonist...too bad for him. I haven't need his services since then. Add a little daily flossing with the use of the Ultrasonex and you may get the same results and save on some big dental bills!

This is just the greatest toothbrush! I had a Dentist appointment two weeks after purchasing this toothbrush, and the Dentist wanted to know what I was doing different. I told him I had bought this new Ultrasonex toothbrush and hoped it would help with plaque. He said "great job, Keep it up." I had no plaque for him to clean! I am sold! I will keep one of these for as long as they make them. It was the best checkup ever!

Totally satisfied with the quality of the product. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it has lived up to my expectations. The fact that you get carrying cases for portability is a plus. Another plus is having two quality ultrasonic toothbrush units for the cost of one. Thank you Amazon. I shopped for a while and feel I found the very best deal for the money.

I would consider myself a bit OCD when it comes to oral hygiene, flossing daily and typically brushing 3 times over in a brushing. My usual routine goes as follows: Brush w/o toothpaste to loosen stuff, rinse with Plax, then brush 2 times with toothpaste. This is the only way my mouth feels clean.

I recently noticed an area where the gum line has receded due to my agressive brushing so I decided to get the Ultrasonix (since I'd be less likely to cause more damage). I received it yesterday and had the chance to use it today- my teeth have only felt this clean leaving the dentist office. I would highly recommend this product. I can't honestly compare it to any other electric toothbrush from experiance, only convential brushes but this seems to be the most advanced one out there and also is priced better than the Sonicare brush. I normally don't write reviews but I was so impressed with product I just had to share.

This particular items works great, I was really impressed with the features especially with the paser timer system. It really made my mouth fill fresh and clean and I would recommend this item very highly.

I've been using Ultrasonex for over 6 years now and it is by far the best toothbrush I have ever used. I tried other similar units on the market but found them to be big and bulky; Ultrasonex is sleek and comfortable to hold. I hadn't seen my family in a while and they asked if I had whitened my teeth; it was actually my new toothbrush and Tom's toothpaste that gave me the whiter sparkle.

The brush heads are easy to change and so much better for the environment than other units. There is less plastic used on the replacement heads meaning better pricing for us and less land fill for the country. Another plus - I haven't had a filling in over a decade!

I have now purchased five toothbrushes of this model: 2-dual packs and 1-single unit. Three of the five units have had the heads break off rendering the unit unusable. I bought replacement units after breaking one figuring that the fault resided with me. Now, after three units have all broken the same way, I believe the fault does not lie with me but with the poor design of the head. Toothpaste gets jammed into the pivot crevice in the brush head. This leads to build up that seals the pivot. When you try to remove it, the wires inside give (i.e. rip) before the brush head does. Sonex (which is owned by Salton - owners of the George Foreman Grill) customer service was helpful. It stood behind the one-year guarantee, so I will get 2 of the 3 broken units replaced.

If your fingers are nimble and you either change the brush heads every three to four weeks OR use very little toothpaste OR are willing to soak your tooth brush in hot water every night to avoid any build-up, this brush is a fine bargain. The toothbrush works well and provides formidable cleaning. For normal users who follow the instructions to change the brush heads every eight to twelve weeks, I unfortunately suspect that you will encounter similar difficulty as me. I will not be buying another Sonex unit. What I will do with the new units is soak them in hot water for a few hours before trying to change the brush heads. Hopefully this will loosen any buildup and prevent future breaks.

Please notice that the negative February 2006 review was moved to the second page even though chronologically it should be on the first page of reviews. This review highlights the same problem that I have attemtped to identify above.

After the customer service help, I would change my rating from two stars to 3.5 stars given that the product works very well in its intended use but has a design flaw that can lead to early termination of its useful life.

First of all, I agree with all the other reviewers that this is a fantastic toothbrush that will keep fillings away. In fact, it's so fantastic I have bought a total of 4 for myself and my family. However, if you are one of those people who apply ANY pressure on your teeth with the brush while it's working, be warned that the life of this unit is very very limited---the head of EVERY single one of our brushes broke off within 3 months of use!!! The company was remarkably unhelpful and unsympathetic! We now use the Oral B brush, which is almost as good and at least last long enough to go between dental appoointments.
