Product Description

3 pack of Single Speaker Rodent Repellers. Non-toxic ultrasonic rodent repellers are specifically designed to repel rats & mice, the most common indoor rodent pest problem encountered by consumers worldwide. Rats and mice pose serious health risks, and traps and poisons come with a heavy price. Poisons can endanger children and pets while inhumane traps require the handling of potentially disease-bearing rodents. Neither poisons nor traps provide long-term protection since more rodents will likely replace the ones you've killed. It can be an unending cycle. Ultrasonic or Electronic Rodent Repeller puts the emphasis on non-toxic prevention, instead of after-the-fact toxic intervention. Ultrasonic rodent repellers emit high frequency ultrasound waves between 32 and 62 kHz to create an acoustically hostile environment that repels rodents from sound-protected areas, over the long term. Ultrasound is kinder than traps, safer than poisons, and inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. The physical properties of ultrasonic sound prevent ultrasonic sound waves from penetrating solid objects like walls and floors. Therefore it is recommended to place one rodent repeller in each room of the location being treated for rodents. Ultrasonic waves are highly directional and will bounce off of hard surfaces to fill an enclosed area with high intensity echoes. Hard surfaces are cement, brick, glass, tile, etc. On the other hand, ultrasound is absorbed and dampened by soft surfaces, such as hay bales, feed sacks, stacked linens, etc. Go Green and Make an Impact!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased!, December 16, 2009
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have heard something or even things rather large, thought it was a squirrel but can't be sure, running around and scratching very loudly every day in the roof of my townhouse for the past few weeks. It was so active that I would pound the ceiling trying to scare it away, to no avail. I bought these thinking they were the ones that would work through the walls, but found out differently when they came in. I figured I had nothing to lose, so as soon as I got home, I plugged 2 into an extension cord and popped them rather quickly into the attic opening that is practically right in the center of the house. I am not exactly sure what was up there, but didn't want to come face to face with it, so I didn't take much care into placement, just pushed open the board enough for the speakers to fit through and shut it quickly as soon as it cleared. I was amazed when I heard not one little patter or scratch this morning. I sure hope they continue to do the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rat went nuts, August 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I plugged the three in around the area where my rat is nesting (in the wall behind the dishwasher). The next morning he had taken stuffing he had procurred earlier from an upholstered chair and stuffed it in the openings around the dishwasher. We presumed he is trying to cut out the sound. I removed the stuffing and the next night the same thing. The sound must be making him crazy - unfortunately he can't get out; we think he came in with an old upholstered chair I had put outside for a few hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Impressed!, February 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Based on the reviews of others about this and other products, I wasn't sure what to expect about how effective the Repeller would be, but from the day I received the product, I haven't seen any mice at all. I beleive the Repeller calls for 1 per 800 feet, and although I don't think my house is that long, it's pretty long, so I bought 2 per floor. Rather that's the reason for my success or not, it's working so I'm sticking to it!
