I make jewelry for a living and work with sterling silver. I was shocked a few weeks ago to find a box of jewelry that had not been properly stored away. The silver was extremely tarnished and I feared that it was destined for the scrap pile. I purchased this product and used it with the "Sonic Wave CD-2800 Ultrasonic Jewelry & Eyeglass Cleaner." A few pieces of jewelry were too badly damaged to be saved but about 90% turned out perfectly! I cannot recommend this product enough! The tarnish was removed and a beautiful shine was restored.

This product works great it an ultrasonic cleaner. If you have silver with purposely darkend (tarnished) designs in it then be careful, this product will "clean" these areas as well, leaving the whole piece super shiny and the wife super angry.

Package arrived on time and as advertised. We found very limited instructions, which offered no help in using product. We wanted this to clean small silver spoons from a display rack. After placing the metal plate in a container and mixing the packet of solution we poured it into the small container with the metal plate and placed two spoons in the solution to be cleaned. After waiting for 10 minutes very limited cleaning had occurred. We removed one of the spoons and after 15 minutes the spoon was clean. We removed the spoon and replaced it with another small spoon and waited for over 20 minutes and NOTHING. We added another packet of solution to the container and it did a very limited job of cleaning the second spoon. It appears it will take one packet of solution to clean each small spoon .... a RIP OFF as far as we are concerned. I just threw the rest of the order in the work bench drawer and will write off this order as a lost cause. I would NOT recommend this product ... it is a total waste of time.

This is the easiest cleanest way to clean silver. No muss-no fuss. No hard work either. Just the best I have ever used.

instructions indicatde that product and plate be put in a bottle with the silver object. Do you use the ultrasonic cleaner machine or not?

This was not what I thought it was. I had called and spoke to an agent and they suggested this product for cleaning silver. However, you need to have the machine to use it apparently and I do not. That fact was omitted. I was in a hurry and jumped back on the net later and ordered it without realizing that when it said 'Ultrasonic" that it meant, also, that you needed the cleaning unit to use this kit. Since I don't have the machine it is worthless as far as I can tell.I used one of the packets of solution with the metal piece in a bowl and shook it with some of my jewelry but didn't do a thing.Ultrasonic Silver Cleaning Kit - 20762
