Amazon.com Product Description

The Maxi Marine Diver Titanium Watch from award-winning Swiss watchmaker Ulysse is as striking as it is sporty. This high-end men's diving watch features a black dial with a wave design, luminous hands and indexes, and two gold subdials. It also boasts a polished, high-grade titanium case and a black rubber strap with 18-karat gold elements. This self-winding timepiece has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and a power-reserve indicator at the 12 o'clock position. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, and this certified chronometer is water resistant to 656 feet.

The Ulysse Nardin Story

Bringing together sophisticated design sensibility with superior technology, Ulysse Nardin watches have been a symbol of mechanical innovation, elegance and prestige since 1846.

Ulysse Nardin was founded in Le Locle, Switzerland, where its headquarters are still today. Historically, the company was best known for being a manufacturer of marine chronometers, but today it produces complicated mechanical watches. Founder, watchmaker Ulysse Nardin, was an accomplished watchmaker who studied horology under his father, Leonard-Frederic Nardin, as well as Frederic William Dubois and Louis Jean Richard-dit-Bressel in Switzerland.

In 1983, the company was acquired by businessman Rolf Schnyder who, in conjunction with watchmaker Ludwig Oechslin, relaunched the brand with other investors. Schnyder, Oechslin and the company's staff design and create their watches using modern materials and manufacturing techniques.
