Exceptional comprehensive guidebook
If you're planning on going to La Guadeloupe and if you are interested in a guidebook that goes beyond the usual touristy information, consider this one. OK but some info outdated
The book was good for information such as history, culture and general travel information such as roads etc. Most the of the hotels and restaurants the book describe no longer exist. It was useful in planning excusions and finding the types of things that aren't going to change over time such as the hiking paths around the volcano, major towns/beaches and attractions of...

The book was good for information such as history, culture and general travel information such as roads etc. Most the of the hotels and restaurants the book describe no longer exist. It was useful in planning excusions and finding the types of things that aren't going to change over time such as the hiking paths around the volcano, major towns/beaches and attractions of the island. Since there are few books on Guadeloupe travel available in English it is better than nothing.
