Waste of Money,

This review is from: Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose": A Study Guide from Gale's "Novels for Students" (Volume 22, Chapter 8) (Digital)
I'm an English instructor and I say students should not waste their money on this or other chapters from <Novels for Students>. Had I seen an index of the subheadings for this chapter, I would not have purchased the darn thing!! The section on major themes is meager. There are no character analyses. Nine of the 34 pages offered in this PDF download address publication info, not the novel notes (<The Name of the Rose>). Most of the remaining text is made up of critical essays that students may download from their college library databases for free.
