This is a brief video unboxing review to hopefully help others decide if this is what you are looking for and expecting. The prior reviews are indeed correct. It appears to be exactly like the one in the picture and over all, the quality is very satisfactory. It works exceptionally well with the brown theme I was going for. The ending picture in my video should also help you get a better idea of the size also.

If in doubt, your nearest Bed, Bath, and Beyond store may have this in stock as I discovered later. However, I would suggest without hesitation to order right here and now via Amazon.

I bought this to go next to the litter box in my apartment, and it has made it much easier to keep up with cleaning that area. The lid keeps odors from escaping very far and the can itself is the perfect size for reusing plastic grocery bags as trash bags. I could imagine using this for other areas of the house as well, particularly the bathroom. It might be a little too small for an office depending on how high-traffic the room is. For my purposes, it has performed very well for over a year and has exceeded my expectations. I recommend it to anyone looking for a small, attractive waste can.

I had ordered a different Umbra model and as super happy with it. This Mezzo with lid is a great deal!

In my search to furnish my new home with some of the basics that I was missing, I went on a trash can search. These Umba Mezzo's are eco-friendly (enhancing my green karma) as well as inexpensive.

They certainly seem to hold up pretty well and certainly don't feel "cheap". I'll be back for more of this one.

The boyfriend is moving in, his one request was that we get a covered bathroom trashcan since the sink has no cupboard underneath it and he doesn't want to look at the dirty Q-tips, etc. We didn't want a brushed nickel trashcan -- hello, rust! it's a bathroom! -- and that was all Target had available. Also, we didn't want to have to step on a pedal every time we had to throw away said icky Q-tip. I found this trashcan and promptly ordered it.

It's a good size for the bathroom, and not top heavy like some other models. It's not the thickest plastic in the world, but it's for trash, people. As another review said, plastic shopping bags can be re-purposed as trash bags, which is convenient.

All in all, very satisfied with the purchase. It classes up the bathroom.

Who wants to look at used q-tips, etc.? I also keep a roll of paper towels on a marble holder on the bathroom counter for guests. (They seem to prefer that to guest towels.) So I searched for a not too expensive small wastebasket w/ a lid for my bathroom. This one fills the bill perfectly. The price was good, and all the parts fit and function as they should--something you can't take for granted these days. It is the perfect size to line w/ used grocery bags, too.

Two quibbles caused me to drop the rating to 4 stars--one is that there is no way to tuck the top of the bag out of sight (the top piece goes inside instead of over the bottom), and the second is that being mostly plastic, it looks only pretty good, not terrific. I knew about its appearance before I bought it, but I thought, and still think, that the price compensates for its lack of elegance.

I agree with other folks. it's a plastic can, but with the satin sheen and brushed-metal appearance it looks a lot classier, plus the pattern hides dust that might cling to it from static electricity. It seemed a little bigger than what I wanted, but I couldn't find anything larger than a liter and smaller than four gallons. In the end, I'm glad I got this size--it fits next to the toilet nicely at just the right height. The hinge lid works well, and the top fits on well over a liner bag--neither too big nor too small.

I expected much more from these cans. Online, they look very neat and metallic. In person, they are cheap junk. The cheesy metallic veneer over the plastic can is far from impressive, and the veneer is so thin and cheap that the can got dinged and scratched in several places during the shipment from Amazon to my home. Had I seen these cans in a store, I never would have bought them. They will definitely be going back to Amazon. I am not sure why so many people rated these cans highly. I bought 4 of them, and I was very disappointed.

It's a good size for the bathroom. Matches my other bronze decor well and the lid is handy for keeping my puppy out of the trash

I guess I should have read the description better because I expected this trash can to be made out of metal, but that's my own fault. The finish on this can is great, and the color is beautiful - it actually does look like metal until you touch it. It's a perfect size for any bathroom. It works as described and we have no complaints; not sure what else there is to say about a trash can :)

I love this trash can, I bought a bigger one for the kitchen and bought this one for my bathroom. It is so nice an a great bronze color.
