I purchased this for my wife as a Christmas present and so far she loves it. I was worried that it would feel like a "flimsy" install once the metal arms were extended, but it isn't. It ends up being extended to about 36" when in use. Another thing that I thought would be an issue was that the tub is in an alcove. With the drywall and tile, there is only about 1.5" of lip for the metal arms to rest on and I wasn't sure if it would stay put very well. The ends are covered with a vinyl rubber that allows it to grip the tub, so it does fine.

It holds her glass of wine and Nook just fine, so she's happy. Consequently, that means we can all be happy, too! ;)

UPDATE***

Well... over a year later and still works and looks like the day she got it. Not one mishap or slip off of the edge. She still loves it and is still happy! If only I would have discovered this years ago! Live and learn I guess.

I LOVE this bathtub tray! It's a stunning piece and is well worth a little extra for the wood. The metal chrome trays just don't have the added beauty that this bamboo tray has. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is the price. It is a little spendy for a bath tray, but it's quickly becoming worth it. It is adjustable and easily fit our garden jet tub. It even has 3 spots behind the book holder, to hold things such as a razor and a loofah, etc. The other thing that I really like is that the soap holder has holes in it to let the soap bar breath and dry out after use. I'm incredibly pleased!

I love this book holder! It isn't ugly and is very easy to use. It actually holds up my books! Previous bath-book-holders would allow me to set my book on it, but I'd still have to hold them open. With this one the grooves are perfectly placed and all I have to do is turn the pages! Very attractive looking and highly adjustable as far as reach across the tub goes.

Works well, sturdy construction and the adjustable arms support the weight of the caddy and it sits level. We have a wide (31") tub and it works fine in the tub. Well worth it!

I got this for my wife for Christmas to go along with the her iPad. She has always enjoyed reading in the tub, but hasn't taken the iPad in for fear of dropping it in the water. The caddy's is sturdy enough to inspire confidence to take the iPad with her. The arms have a tacky cover that grips to the sides of the tub. $40 isn't all that expensive when you want to keep a $700 investment safe from the water.

Super heavy duty solid bamboo. Works great! Definitely worth the $27 price tag. Pages do stay open except on paperback novels, which I needed a clip to keep open because I don't like to crease the spine. Strong enough to support textbooks.

I work for the militarty overseas, so I had to have this sent via my mother in the States. Nonetheless, it arrived very quickly. Although beautiful as well as functional, I have two gripes. The top layer of wood split within a month. I hadnt even used it yet. Also, I think the book holder could benefit from a device to keep the pages open. With a little glue and vice grips, I hope to enjoy its futher use.

Took longer to get than we would have liked, but it is perfect and what we wanted and a good value.
We have had the product for a few months now and it is not holding up as well as we would have liked. A piece of wood that holds the glass has come off and there is black stain inside where the metal racks go in. I followed the cleaning directions. I would still recommend it but make sure you maintain it after each use by drying it off completely.
