We were surprised to find virtually no pewter-colored curtain rods at the various discount, department, and bed-bath stores; the default for rods which are neither gold- nor bronze-tone seems to be a rather bright (and fake-looking) silver or brushed chrome.
Since we didn't want the curtain rods to be the brightest color in the newly decorated room, we were pleased to have found these Umbra pewter-colored rods online. The style, while sedate, is fine and doesn't draw the eye. The rods mounted with ease; all the screws were included, plus a spare. These are all metal, no plastic as I saw in some of the cheapest rods. All in all, they're classic rods which will probably outlive the comforter they match. |
