5.0 out of 5 stars works well in our window!, March 8, 2007

This window treatment rod works well in our front entrance window, next to our door. I wasn't sure how to hang a curtain there, but when I saw this, I was sure it would work well. We have hung a medium-weight curtain on this rod and it stays put. My husband loves the extra privacy it provides at night, and the extra light during the day. We open and close the curtain daily and the rod stays put... Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars great rod for heavier curtains, October 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Umbra Coretto 15-Inch-by-24-Inch Tension Rod, Black (Kitchen)
I hate tension rods. The common spring loaded types almost always buckle under the weight of a curtain. Sometimes even a sheer doesn't stay up. I have a door height window, that is only 24" inches wide, next to my front door that I wanted to cover with a thick, light-blocking curtain. I knew a spring rod would not hold the heavy fabric, so when I saw the positive reviews on this one I took a chance. I am very glad I did! This rod twists open and closed - it is not spring loaded. It is thicker too, more like a shower curtain rod only shorter like I needed. I bought two, one to hold the curtain near the top, and one for the bottom. It doesn't move at all. Though I wish the price were a little better ($15 for one rod is a bit much), it's worth paying the higher amount for something that actually works like it should.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tension rod, December 10, 2009

I bought this for a small window in an apartment. It worked perfectly. The curtain is heavy, and I have had no issues with the rod sliding or falling.
