The manufacturer's description doesn't give much info, but they did a nice job of making this....it does work either way -- vertically or horizontally, which is nice, and you can swing the holder piece around so it aims either right or left depending on your location's requirements. I like the fact that you can just drop a roll of paper onto it when installed vertically. No more hassling with little springy bars that want to pop out of your hands before they snap into their holes.
