Pros: Really cool looking, and great since you can pull the keys off when you're in a rush instead of unhooking them. A fantastic gift that no-one else will come up with. Space saving, and only requires 2 small holes to mount.

Cons: At first I thought that a whole area was magnetic, or a list a line; but it has only three points in the whole board that have magnets, and they are not that easy to find a first. You'll get used to it though. Also, the laminated wood quality isn't great in the espresso-colored model. Hard to hook-up to the wall so it doesn't feel loose.

Suggestions:
1- Barnes and Noble offers a better deal.
2- The natural-wood model is better quality than the espresso-colored one.

I've never seen anyone have a magnetic key rack, so to me this is a pretty innovative and unusual product. It's very compact (not at all bulky), saves space, and holds keys quite well - especially when you use they key rings it comes with. I found that there was a large magnetized area, and my keys attached instantly. I have a large key chain, about 5 keys and several store cards all in one bundle; the key rack held 3 bundles of this size with no problems.

In the product photo, it looks like there is some sort of compartment for letters, which is not the case. All you get is 1 curved board, screws to attach it to the wall and 3 key rings. When you mount the key rack, you can technically squeeze in a few letters behind the board, but there's no special compartment.

My biggest peeve with this key rack is the sub-par quality. It's obviously not wood, but the material could have been much better. After a few days of using it, I'm already seeing the laminate peeling off the corners....

I don't recommend this product. It looks good and smart and seems like a good idea. The problem is that it has 3 magnets under the surface, so you must put your key exactly on one of those three "hot points" and nowhere else. I expected it had a magnetized surface, so you could just slap your keys up and they would stick. Not so. You have to be pretty careful in placing them, or they will fall. Similar to a hook. Hmm. Then why not get a hook? This product had a chance, but they blew it by putting three not-so-strong magnets under the surface and making you hit them exactly. Too bad. I would definitely not have bought this if I had known. Now you do.

Very cool concept.

I've generally been happy with Umbra products, and this piece is no exception. Thanks to the Amazon reviews, I understood upfront that this would only hold three keychains and that the "mail" slot would be a little small.

If you can live with those minor drawbacks, this unit will work for you. Keep in mind, that if they tried to use one continuous magnetic strip, your keychains would end up sticking to each other!

Was a little challenging to install, as is usually the case with these picture-hanger style wall mounts. Fits snugly when mounted, very sturdy overall.

I was a little worried that my keychains would be too bulky, but I used the included keyrings to extend my keychains so the car fobs hang a little lower, and now all three stick without any problems. For people with bigger or heavier keychains, it's not the weight that's the problem - it's the configuration. If your keychain "balls" up, it's hard for the magnetic backing to grab onto the keyring. The extension is perfect for creating a bit of extra space for the magnet to hold on.

I use the mail slot to hold my money clip - works like a gem for that purpose.

For $15, no one makes anything comparable in terms of function and style.

I really like this key holder. It looks even better than it does in the pictures. I was easy to install, it hangs up with two screws (we didn't use the screw mounts because we live in an apartment and I don't like making wholes that big in the wall!) you could also put it up with foam tape if you wanted/needed to.

Now from the picture, I wasn't really sure if this was going to hold my keys up because they show just keys on key rings, but it holds both of our sets of keys securely with no problem. So you can get an idea of the weight, here's what are on our keys. Mine: two keys, two key chains and a Volkswagen remote/key. His: Carabeaner, two key rings with a total of about 6 keys and a heavier, car key and remote.

Overall, I'd recommend this product. I have a couple of Umbra trashcans, and I really like them also. It has been really nice to know where my keys are and not have to wonder where I put them when I'm trying to leave.

It came with: key panel, screws, screw mounts, 3 spare key rings

This holder does its job to a certain extent - it comes with the hardware to install (screws and drywall inserts) and, once up, hold keys and letters. Unfortunately, the magnet is not extremely strong. Therefore, if you have a lot of keys on your keyring, or a keycard (for secure buildings), or a thumb drive, you will need to find another solution (the keycard and thumbdrive stick out too much and make it awkward to place on the magnet). It seems as if it has three magnets as well (look at the photo of the three keyrings), so you have to place your keys ON ONE OF THE MAGNETS. Failure to do so will result in the annoying task of picking your keys off the floor. This gets old. I like it because I like tech toys and gimmicky things. If you're looking for a prime solution, however, this is not it. It is neat and fun and a great conversation-piece, but it is NOT the best way to hold your keys. Just be aware of this.
