5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for!
I have a large recessed front window leaving out the conventional rods. I had resigned myself to losing more than 15 inches of space by using rods on the wall outside of the window space. In fact, I did so but the rods sagged and there was no way to use a support bracket(I needed a 14 inch bracket). I had given up until I found this rod. It worked out beautifully with...

1.0 out of 5 stars Be careful
This rod would have been the perfect solution for my sliding patio doors in my guest room had it stayed up and not bowed in the opening. The rod was very light weight and the "sticky" things on the rod pulled the paint off my wall. I went out and found a better rod for less than half the price and don't recommend this rod.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice curtain rod., January 12, 2012
the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the rod was a little smaller than I had expected. It still looks great and I love it, but I wished it was a little thicker. The rod was long enough but I think it just would have looked better if it was stronger looking.

lousy product. Didnot work in the manner intended. Got better results using an old school tension rod and grommet curtains.

I live in an apartment so I cannot place regular rods. This device is great because it fits well, and doesn't slip. It has two bars, so you can put up shears. I'm really pleased with it. Putting it together is easy, but you may need help putting it up, just to get the right length.

2.0 out of 5 stars like the concept but doesn't work, November 14, 2010
I was shopping around for tension rods and bought these for my windows that are 73" wide. The rods were too narrow and didn't hold up standard weight curtains. It comes with a hook that you can install if the rods don't hold up. I didn't see the point of that - I bought these because I didn't want to drill a hole in the wall in the first place.

I liked the concept of the product (double tension rods), but it just doesn't work. I suppose they could work for narrow spaces or if you hang very light curtains only. If you want to hang standard curtains, I wouldn't recommend this at all. I ended up returning this item and buying regular curtain rods. Although that meant I had to install the curtain wall bracket, it works much better.
