I purchased five tension drapery rods for a house in Antigua, Guatemala which has a concrete finish to the exterior and interior walls. This made the tension rods a better alternative for putting up curtains. And the rods worked very well. However, one rod end did not have a set screw to tighten the front rod. In fact, the rod end was not even tapped so that a set screw could be inserted into it. As a result, I had to have a machinist tap the rod end and then I purchased a set screw from a hardware store. While the rods are very good for their intended purpose, the company selling them needs to improve quality control.

This rod worked wonderfully for hanging panel curtains in my daughter's college dorm room. Installation was a snap, the look was great, and no damage when taking it down.
