great product for dorm rooms
This rod worked wonderfully for hanging panel curtains in my daughter's college dorm room. Installation was a snap, the look was great, and no damage when taking it down.

Umbra Mission Drapery Rod
I purchased five tension drapery rods for a house in Antigua, Guatemala which has a concrete finish to the exterior and interior walls. This made the tension rods a better alternative for putting up curtains. And the rods worked very well. However, one rod end did not have a set screw to tighten the front rod. I purchased five tension drapery rods for a house in Antigua, Guatemala which has a concrete finish to the exterior and interior walls. This made the tension rods a better alternative for putting up curtains. And the rods worked very well. However, one rod end did not have a set screw to tighten the front rod. In fact, the rod end was not even tapped so that a set screw could be inserted into it. As a result, I had to have a machinist tap the rod end and then I purchased a set screw from a hardware store. While the rods are very good for their intended purpose, the company selling them needs to improve quality control.
