These are well made, as all Umbra products I've purchased are. I use them outside at the beach, and after 2 months see no damage to the finish.

They are made of some soft compound metal so they bend easily (one of them is right by my office chair and I tend to hit it when I twirl), but I can straighten them out just as easy. Might break after a while with that treatment, but if you are nice to them I'm sure they'll hold up.

Pleased with these, heavy weight items with a somewhat matte finish that accents without being gaudy. Also got the Umbra Staff 88-Inch-to-120-Inch Drapery Rod and Umbra Adjustable Wall Bracket, Black to go along with my microsuede curtains.
