This Clamp-on Chair umbrella can clamp to the top of an aluminum folding chair. It also can clamp to the side of a canvas folding chair by removing the clamp and putting it back on at a 90 degree angle using the extra mounting hole in the clamp. Automatic, push button opening, much sturdier that the ones in the discount stores. Please order from other listings for other colors. Umbrella only, chair not included.

The design is pretty good except the actual umbrella is too small. When folded it is the right size to slip into the carry bag of a folding camp chair. The problem is that the metal tip (ferrule) that sticks up above the actual nylon umbrella is too long ridiculously long. Because so much of the overall length is taken up by the tip, the actual umbrella is too small. Also it would be nice if the thread pitch on the clamp were better. It takes a lot of turns to clamp and unclamp it. The construction is good. The price is fair. I'm glad I got it. It just needs 2 improvements to be 5 star.

We have two of these. My wife tends to sunburn very easily and we enjoy being outside and going to airshows, etc. This works GREAT. It keeps the sun off us and it is markedly cooler under the shade. Pretty impressively so actually.

After having used them for several different occasions my only wish is that it was bigger, however it is a great compromise between size and weight. It fits right inside the bag with the chair for easy transport as well.
