This review is from: Red/White Clamp On Chair Umbrella for Aluminum or Canvas Folding Chairs
PROS:We are soccer parents always on the go in the hot and sunny southern U.S. I picked up two of these umbrellas and they are getting plenty of use already. We like how they can be stored with our chairs inside of the typical chair carry bags. they are easy to set up and attach to the bars of most folding chairs. There are usually a few options of places to attach to a chair to best shield the sun. There are two screw holes on the clamp so the umbrella can be attached to the clamp in either a vertical or horizontal clamp placement. If the sun is behind us, I clamp to either side of the vertical back rest bar; when the sun is in front, I clamp to the front horizontal bar of the chair arm rest. These umbrellas have served their intended purpose as expected for the price. CONS: My only complaints are that the umbrellas are a little thin and don't advertise any UV protection. When it is really hot and sunny, the heat can still be felt bleeding through...but it still much better than no protection. I am afraid to tighten the clamps too much because they are mostly made of plastic. They seem pretty sturdy, however, and have held up fine thus far. Without tightening beyond my comfort level, the umbrellas don't fair well on the chairs in gusty/windy conditions.

Good product for the price,
This review is from: Red/White Clamp On Chair Umbrella for Aluminum or Canvas Folding Chairs
Have a bowrider boat and using this to clamp to bow rail when someone really needs to be out of direct sun for a time; since we don't yet have a bimini top. Multi position clamp is handy. Two Cautions: 1) Works fine in calm air or a very light breeze; not in wind. 2) Hard plastic clamp needs a "traction clamping surface" so I glued 2 small rubber strips inside rounded clamp jaws; and don't overtighten the clamp. Can be used also as a hand-held umbrella if necessary. Compact to store in sleeve provided. We like it.
