The list author says: "My HP MediaSmart Windows Home Server finally gave up the ghost. Since it's discontinued, I've decided to go with the current home media NAS solution of choice, an UnRaid Server (http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Wiki)
Primary use case is media fileserving, but I also need enough juice to run SabNZBd and something like Plex to transcode media on the fly to play on various iPads/Kindles/iPhones/etc.
Hope to pair this up with Jailbroken Apple TV's at each TV for a full end-to-end media media streaming solution."
"Need enough memory to run various apps on the NAS like Plex, and this might be enough to also run VmWare instances should I need Windows based software for whatever reason."
