Life on an estancia in Salta has been recorded in detailed photographs. With the imposing backdrop of the Andes this establishment has mountains, lakes, rivers, its own small hydro electric plant, cattle and agriculture. The residents, dressed either traditionally or in modern fashion, eat typical local dishes or international cuisine, do their work on the farm with ancient tools but modern machinery. Horse taming, round ups, cattle branding, plowing, everything for the reader to understand regional customs and the ways of working the land still practiced on a farm dating from the time of the country's independence. The photography is by one of the descendants of the founding family, Martin Gomez Alzaga while texts are by Socorro Gonzalez Guerrico. Between them they have produced a work not to be missed by local or international tourists.
