The good:

The quality of the video and sound is good as it should be since the DVD was released in 2008 (i.e. new technology).

The bad:

The concert is very short (total 12 songs with total run of 64 minutes). If the real concert in Madrid was that long, I would get piss with Marco Antonio Solis. He has plenty of songs to sing, so why too short?. I have Juan Gabriel's in Bellas Artes , it last 170 minutes (2 hrs and 50 minutes!).

The ugly:

Besides the concert been short and some shots as additional features in the DVD; there is nothing else. The Mexican recording companies (e.g. FONOVISA, etc) should take a look at Celine Dion's concert (A New Day - Live in Las Vegas (2007); a very complete DVD for a concert with extra features, behind the scences, etc . And no, I did not pay more for Celine Dion' DVD than Marco Antonio Solis's DVD; I paid similar prices. Likely, this is not Marco Antonio Solis fault; but as artist, he should demand more quality products that contain his name on it; ultimately, his name is in the line.

Bottom line: I am disappointed with the DVD for the price paid.

I'm actually not a big Marco Antonio Solis fan though I was familiar with a few of his bigger hits. Purchased the video just to have something to watch on a "rainy day". However, turned out to really enjoy it!

Solis did a wonderful job with the concert. Masterfully done! Good variety and entertainment with dancers and choreography. He himself was dynamic and energetic. Excellent audio and video quality.

Enjoyed it and recommend it.

Una noche inolvidable con el gran maestro de la cancion en espanol. Pasion Vega, invitada especial, da la mejor interpretacion, en mi opinion, de "como tu mujer" hasta ahora.
Se escucha exitos como Tu carcel, antes de que te vayas, si no te hubieras ido. El publico era muy feliz y da ganas de participar a este gran momento de la vida musical.

It's is a very good concert in Spain, I've never gotten any of his concerts, but this one I liked very much. So I do recommend it if you like his music.

I bought this DVD /CD combo because am a big Marco fan. After watching this DVD over and over and sensing what an exciting performer he was live it inspired me to go to see him in Las Vegas. Well it was an experience I will not forget. He was wonderful. His voice is like velvet and he sounds just as good live as he does on CD. The last time I saw him perform I was on the 5th row and I was in heaven. Since first hearing his music in 1999, it has inspired me to learn speak Spanish. Even if you don't understand Spanish all the lyrics to his songs are available online and can be translated easily. That way you do not miss what an outstanding poet he is. His lyrics touch your heart as well as your soul.

My wife and I saw this concert playing on a flat screen while having a drink and fell in love with it. Solis pours his heart and soul into his music. Our whole family enjoys this concert!
