Una mujer como yo is the best mix yet from this fabulous Cuban writer-performer. The cuts are sensual and upbeat--Albita at her best. This CDshows that Albita is just as comfortable and magnificent in genres beyond the guajira and the son montuno. We want more!

Being an American married to a music loving Cuban, i can honestly say this is one CD that I play when I am alone and want to hear something upbeat and romantic. I love the song "Me Derrito" I can't wait to see her in concert!!!!

I just came home from seeing Albita in concert at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA. She rocked. Unfortunatley she did not sing one song from this cd, which is the only one of hers that I have now, but I will soon add others to my collection. She is truly talented, and enthusiastic. Check out all from her. This cd has a lot of up-beat party rhythms, that will make u want to dance non-stop.

Albita brings out my Latin Blood

Ever since the introduction of her first CD "No Se Parece A Nada", this singer showed that she possessed a unique quality. The ability to combine new sounds with the sounds of yesterday. This new album demonstates that this artist is here to stay. Her blend of merengue, salsa, and for the first time Ballonato, this CD is her best work yet. In my opinion, she is or will be this era's Celia Cruz.

I was expected good songs singing by a wonderfully voice, and great musicians in a high quality CD. It have all of that, except that the price is getting too high. LOURDES

When you take a unique singer and personality like Albita, and combine it with ultra-arranger/composer Kike Santander, you are bound to get something outstanding, and Una Mujer Como Yo is definitely that.

Albita's first two albums were inconsistent in quality, and didn't quite reflect what she could do. Una Mujer Como Yo is a huge step forward, and what makes it so great is that Santander, one of the best and most original arrangers and composers in the business has created material uniquely suited to Alibita.

This album is non-stop energy from start to finish, it never lets up, and you will find it sounds unlike any album you have heard.

Great use is made of the background singers as well. Una Mujer Como Yo is one of Albita's two stand out albums (the other is Son).
