5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps Getting Better But staying the same!!!!
One of Gloria Trevi's best albums. If you like Gloria's music in general you will not regret getting this album. She's the same ol' Gloria Trevi from the 90s but with a fresh 2000s modern touch. If you only KINDA like her old stuff then this will be a pleasent surprise. The songs are much fresher and more sofisticated than the older material but with the same attitude...

1.0 out of 5 stars Slooow Delivery then No GO
Purchased the product with much anticipation. The Seller took the delivery time to a limit, then upon written inquiry, the firm said it could not deliver the purchased item. Wow, what a way to do business with an Amazon seller. I'd never (ever) recommend this seller.

One of Gloria Trevi's best albums. If you like Gloria's music in general you will not regret getting this album. She's the same ol' Gloria Trevi from the 90s but with a fresh 2000s modern touch. If you only KINDA like her old stuff then this will be a pleasent surprise. The songs are much fresher and more sofisticated than the older material but with the same attitude and energy. The entire album as a whole is great but songs that really stick out are Psicofonia, pruebamelo, lo que una chica por amor es capaz, el favor de la soledad, cinco minutos, lo que te toca, valeria, sufran con lo que yo gozo and todos me miran. like i said, the entire album is excelent and there are no "filler" songs. every song has life of its own with completly differnt style and flavor.

a must for evry latin rock/po fan.

Una Rosa Blu is an incredible musical experience. From the first song, "Psicofonia", to the last, "Lo Que Te Toca", the album does not fail to deliver. Various musical elements and flavors make up the album. Stand out tracks from the album are "Dona Pudor", "Cinco Minutos", "Pruebamelo". Incredible and worthy of a purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars A new beginning (a good one), October 4, 2007
This review is from: Una Rosa Blu (Audio CD)
I'm going to have to disagree with the guy who wrote the first review on this album. I truly believe that for an artist, especially one like Gloria Trevi (who's been in the business for a long time), needs to re-invent themselves and their music as well to remain interesting and fresh and also to gain new listeners. That, I believe is the purpose of this album: offer some of what us old fans are used to but also offer something new to those who either didn't like Gloria Trevi's older stuff or didn't know her well.

This album is going to do very well. Most of the songs are radio friendly and very appealing. I personally know people who didn't really like her music but have told me that they like many songs on this album. It's a different Trevi, but in a good way. Her voice sounds much more mature and melodic. The lyrical content of the songs are quite superior and hearfelt. There's a much more wide variaty of sounds and styles incorporated as well. All this provides for an album that will offer Trevi precious gems and become classics as well.

My favorite songs are: Psicofonia, Pruebamelo, Doña Pudor, La Vida Se Va, Lo Que Te Toca, and El Favor De La Soledad.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some great songs!! it s like a blender of styles.?, October 15, 2007
This review is from: Una Rosa Blu (Audio CD)

When I bought this "Rosa Blu" I fell in love with "psicofonia",After that,I was confuse with to many styles in the album and still confuse .
I think "Psicofonia" is poetry.I would have prefered this song more "sinfonica".but stil a very good piece .overall, is a very good cd. Cd cover is weird, but very nice.
I was thinking this album was a thematic album, with very dark themes, rock gothic metal sounds, but not.

Songs I consider are good:

*Psicofonia.- nice lyrics and music.
*Pruebamelo.- very Gloria Trevi song.
*Inmaculada.-this song is awesome,it has a nice metal rock arrangements.( I beleive is for her lost Daughter),
*El favor de la soledad.-another great ballad, but the begining of the songs is very similar to "the way of love" by Cher.
*Calle de la amargura. it has a style like" El ultimo adios" by Paulina Rubio,mariachi-pop. but still in my playlist.(this song would have been better with mariachi only.
*Psicofonia remix.- very good mix!!!! still with the essence of the original.
*Doña pudor.-another very Gloria's style song.this song is more dance and it fit gloria's voice.

Song that I consider not my favorites.

*la vida se va.- "Santana style".not Gloria herself.(besides,Paulina has one very similar too!! ," mirame a los ojos ")
*La rosa blu.- this song is very complicated.le puso mucha crema a los tacos.
*Lo que una chica por amor es capaz.-sound like my favorite group from my childhood "Enrique y Ana" very late 70's ,early's 80's.
*Cinco minutos.-the music is to simple.the lyrics are good.

Unfortunately, it lacks of a defining line in style.
No tiene un stilo definido ni una total escencia..

4.0 out of 5 stars The phenomenom keeps on going!, February 25, 2008

This review is from: Una Rosa Blu (Audio CD)
I have been reading some of the reviews people have written about "Una Rosa Blue", and most of them seem like my own experience. When I first heard "Psicofonia" on the radio I was not impressed, but still bought the album, because I am a hardcore Trevi fan. The song started growing on me. At first, I did not like the album. After listening the album for a several months, I have ended up liking most of the tracks, and the following are my favorites

Cinco minutos - Best song

El favor de la soledad - Nice song, not sure if it will suceed commercially

La calle de la amargura - Upbeat song, nice listening

Pruebamelo - This songs has the Trevi seal. It is a mix of the old and the new

The other ones are nice too, but I think those are the best. I really like Gloria venturing into dance music. The lyrics of "Dona Pudor" are not the most inspiring, but it is a great dance track like :Todos me miran" "Inmaculada" and "La vida se va" sound very different to her previous music, and I think she needs to work a little on those styles. While "Psicofonia" and "Lo que una chica es capaz" are ok songs. My least favorite songs of the album are "La rosa blu", the song does not flow very pleasantly sometimes and "Lo qure te toca" could have been a good track, but it sounds like not much effort was put on it, and it reminds me of church music.

In summary, I think "Una rosa blu" was one step up from "Como nace el Universo" and I hope it brings many hits to Gloria.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album!, December 14, 2007

This review is from: Una Rosa Blu (Audio CD)
Great album! I was a bit skeptical due to the fact that it wasn't getting many good reviews and how Gloria had moved away from her usual style. I first bought it and nothing really caught my attention so it ended up on my shelf collecting dust... after a month or so I decided to give it another try and I haven't been able to put it down since.
Gloria's voice is as strong as ever and even though these tracks aren't typical of Gloria it doesn't mean that it's necessarily a bad thing. Pruebamelo, Dona Pudor, Lo Que Te Toca, and the Psicofonia remix are great upbeat tracks.
I highly recommend it to anyone... current fan or not.

Well, first off, I'd like to state how truly AWESOME this album is! If any of you are scared to purchase this, don't be. I know the singer has had some problems in the past, but Una Rosa Blu shows her true potential as a songstress and writer. This album is filled with various musical flavors I think anyone would enjoy, including a take on the the Italian hit, Una Rosa Blu. True outstandings are: Psicofonia, Pruebamelo, Doña Pudor, La Calle de la Amargura, Cinco Minutos, Todos Me Miran, El Secreto, and Sufran con lo Que yo Goso. Slow songs in the album that are great to listen to: Inmaculada, Una Rosa Blu, El Favor de la Soledad, & Valeria. Overall, this is a truly awesome album deserving of repeated listening sessions! 4.5/5 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Album, October 5, 2007
This review is from: Una Rosa Blu (Audio CD)
Gloria Trevi has come back with this outstanding album. It's Gloria Trevi musical reinvention. New rhythms, new ways of singing but all with same Gloria Trevi feeling of all times. Musical notes on this album are from 3 great producers of the industry. Gloria Trevi worked again with Armando Avila (producer of the world smashing hit "Todos Me miran") making new interestings sounds with Gloria. Definitely recommended. Best Songs, "Una Rosa Blu", "Inmaculada", "El favor de la soledad" and "Pruebamelo"

5.0 out of 5 stars Siempre algo clasico, siempre algo nuevo., October 5, 2007
This review is from: Una Rosa Blu (Audio CD)
