Some of the most beautiful and accomplished guitar music I've ever heard. The multiple guitars hypnotize and transport the listener. The vocal cuts featuring Teri de Sario ("Are You Ready" are exquisite. The music works on both an intellectual and emotional level, almost like a soundtrack to a movie in your mind. David Pritchard's compositions are truly remarkable--complex yet accessible. I love this CD!

The samples dont do it justice... This is an excellent work of guitar blends, and the 2nd track "the language instinct" is a combination of haunting and heavenly.. This song alone is worth the price of admission!!! I will be tracking down every piece of vocals I can find from this brilliant obscure singer. As to the rest of the songs, well, they cant be beat for rich acoustical guitar blends.. This is an underappreciated work, which I only found out about through "echoes" radio program.... check out echoes.org , and if you can afford it, buy this cd. You wont regret it....and please Mr. Pritchard, have Teri de Sario sing on ALL your songs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sublime. This album is truly sublime. Like many of my favorite recordings, I hear something new with each listening, the rich textures and counterpoint making a great landscape for exploration. I first heard David's quartet as part of a local, intimate concert series. I was so taken with his compositions, that I ordered several of his CDs. This has become one of my favorites, and is a great accompaniment to making art.
