Pretty good for a narrative review of the history of Star Trek,
By
This review is from: The History of Trek (Paperback)
Not a bad review if a bit slim in the detail that has been generated by other writers about the star trek universe. Not the best book out there, but excellent and four star if you are looking for a general overview of the star trek universe up to and including some of the Next Generation episodes (this book was published in 1991).
Not the best not the worst, just a good simple overview of the universe up to 1991. Worth picking up as a reference book for Star Trek or just if you are curious how other writers approach the way of combining all the information that is out there. This one is very simple and not the definitive source of all things Trek. 4 of 5 points, great reference book, not deep on detail, easy to read

Worst Book Ever,

This review is from: The Unauthorized History of Trek (Harper Prism) (Paperback)
This book is old, and you probably won't ever look for it...but I had to write a review. This book is nothing more than a list of episodes of TOS, TNG, and the movies up to ST:V. There is NOTHING of interest in the book, and what quotes and non-episode info there is has been taken off TV interviews or TV Guide.
Worst of all, the authors comments about ST:TMP are almost laughable if you watch the documentary in the directors cut. So, if you happen upon this, avoid it like a Rigelian Blood Bat! |
