Praise for UNBORN:

I defy anyone to read the first chilling chapter of this book and not buy it immediately. It will be an irresistible compulsion, because it's clear from the get-go that you're in the hands of a master of suspense.
--Lee Goldberg, author of KING CITY

With UNBORN, Wilder wades into the blood-soaked waters of the paranormal horror genre and knocks one straight out of the park. This one is sure to keep you up late while it chills your blood.
--Blake Crouch, author of PINES

Cross Stephen King with Lee Child and you get Carson Wilder's UNBORN. Don't be surprised if you follow this duel from beginning to end in one sitting.
--Eric Christopherson, author of FORTRESS OF EPHEMERA

A short novel of EXTREME terror...

Psychic medium John Rock once had his own prime time television show.

Sometimes, the dead would speak to him.

The show was a huge hit, but the network wanted a performing seal.

John Rock refused to be one.

Now, some twenty years later, he walks the earth…

Sometimes, the dead speak to him.

Sometimes, they do more.

Much, much, more.

The most powerful, cunning, malevolent entity John Rock has ever encountered is out for revenge.

The entity is unfathomable.

The entity is unrelenting.

The entity is unafraid.

And, perhaps most terrifying of all…

The entity is UNBORN.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Mix October 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Take a very cool premise, mix in some suspense, add a compelling main character with special powers. Throw in a helping (or two) of creepiness and top it off with a few dollops of gore. What do you have? The perfect recipe for a fast-paced tale of supernatural revenge. Hardin hits his mark with this one! (Not for the squeamish!)

4.0 out of 5 stars A taut, suspenseful horror novella June 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Jude Hardin (aka Carson Wilder) has crafted a taut, suspenseful novella in Unborn, the story of an entity that exacts revenge on those who ended its life by taking over the bodies of unsuspecting bystanders. John Rock, an ex-celebrity, somewhat reluctant psychic, is the only thing standing in its way. But John faces an uphill battle in convincing the authorities to believe his bizarre explanation of what is actually happening. In a race against time to save the lives of those targeted by the entity, John soon becomes a prime target, as well.

Unborn is not for the squeemish as a couple of scenes are graphic. But the story moves along very quickly with never a dull moment. It can be read in a single sitting and a nice plot twist at the end leaves you wanting more. The depth of the characters and true-to-life dialogue illustrate Hardin's writing abilities. This is a fun read and well worth the price of only $2.99.

5.0 out of 5 stars This was probably one of the best books I've read February 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
There aren't a lot of books that I get hooked to very fast, but this was one that was easy to fall in love with. In 2 days I read the entire book, and I would read it a million times over. This is one of the best books ever, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good mystery story.
