I read and listened to the stories. My favorite was Jeaniene Frost with a Bones story set in New Orleans, just before he meets Cat. Kim Harrison's focuses on Garden Fairies (or pyxies--I tend to rename them). There were more--and they were all interesting, but those two stood out for me.
The narration was fine--but not done with any change of voice or accent. All the men sounded the same, all the females sounded the same. I have been spoiled--especially for the Jeaniene Frost story--I was used to Bones having the Cockney accent. Oh, well, lesson learned. If you like these authors, this is a nice set of stories. I will say the narrator was smooth, and the cadence was good.

I really enjoyed this short story related to the Hollows series. It was nice seeing a usually secondary character have "free reign" and be up front and "in charge" this time. It sets up a nice foreshadowing of something most likely to come back on all the characters later. I won't bore you with a plot summary as I know other reviewers are fond of doing that. This is a must read if you liked the rest of the series up to this point. Have at it because it adds a nice detailed element to the series and I don't think you'll be disappointed. I can't wait to read the next one!

I bought this for the Kim Harrison story and being a Jenks and Bis fan, loved this contribution! I think anthologies are a great way to try out other authors, but was disappointed in this collection's group. Because I only enjoyed the 1 story, I gave the book 3 stars. However, I think the Kim Harrison story was worth 5 stars.

Several Stories by different writers, all are interesting and keep the attention and makes me want to read more of some of them, a great idea to get to know several different writing styles in one book and it makes it easy to choose whose books I might like

I love how the author makes all the characters come to life, and I especially like all the descriptions of scenes, smells, and the characters descriptions are awesome. Keep up the great writing. I am definitely a fan of Kim Harrison.

I really enjoyed these short stories, especially Kim Harrison's. Being a fan of the Hallows, I was very pleased to have read a story with Jinks as the lead character. It was funny and intense and I'd recomend this book to anyone.

I loved Kim's and Jeaniene's stories, the others I found not AD good. I still would recommend this book to others who ask me about it. I thank all of the authors for their talents.

this wasn't what I was expecting. Different stories by different author's. The stories were great but they were only a portion so it left me wanting more.

if I would have known that all of these short stories were in her book called Into The Woods I do not believe I would have bought this book.
