5.0 out of 5 stars Give yourself some time, April 5, 2011
This review is from: Uncertain Endings: The World's Greatest Unsolved Mystery Stories (Hardcover)
This is a good collection - but give yourself time to read the book and then think over the stories.

The stories all have uncertain endings (like "The Lady, or the Tiger?" by Frank R. Stockton), but they are all so different and so unusual. It is excellent to read these out to older kids and let them puzzle through the possibilities.

Don't rush. It's better to read them one at a time, maybe one per day. And in order - some of the stories build on previous stories.

There are some surprising stories in here, but they are each excellent in their own way.

This is a good one to keep on the shelf in the guest room - something to talk about!
