3.0 out of 5 stars average Unchained, but worth it, February 5, 2000

This review is from: Unchained 6: 1975 (Audio CD)
In the Unchained series, we get a whole lot of stuff that probably shouldn't have seen the light of day, much less enter our ears.Having six of the discs already prepared me for this one. So utterly rabid T.Rex fans take note; it's average for the Unchained series. That is, about half of the disc is taken up with really rough spoken word pieces and alternate takes that shouldn't be there. My faves are "Swahili Boogie Woogie"(track 9), "Funky London Childhood" (2), "Christmas bop" (25), "Bust my ball" (6). There are a few others, but they're very short. If you're into collecting absolutely everything Bolan did, the series is for you. But be warned, it's awful rough in spots, what with personal home recordings and studio jam sessions. This disc has so much on it that you likely won't care about those rough spots, as I did.Three and a half stars...T.Rex forever!
