For sure, but Uncharted is also great and by no means a ripoff.

I thought Lara Croft was the female Indiana Jones, so that makes Drake the male Indiana Jones..... wha?

Well Tomb Raider and Uncharted have similar concepts, they have been very different games until now. The new Tomb Raider seems to have seen Uncharted's success and wants to do something similar, but I'm sure the gameplay will be much different, as it always has been.

this game is gonna have its thrills and oh S*** moments, but wont have its OTT moments like uncharted. its an origin story so lara is still a "noob" in that regards. maybe from the next game on when she becomes the tomb raider we are going to see something similar to uncharted.

IS it just me, or from the gameplay shown at E3, is Lara pretty much the hottest we have ever seen her in a TR game?? She may even rival Miranda with the best @ss in the galaxy :) cant wait..

Uncharted is inspired by Indiana Jones. The realism and shooter mechanics of Uncharted were very different from Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider also didn't have the signature cinematic moments that Uncharted is known most for. The new Tomb Raider, on the other hand, is all of these things.

Brad says:
Tomb Raider is basically a female indiana jones. and Uncharted was supposed to be Tomb Raider, only with better mechanics, and more modern shooting. Also, Uncharted 2 is easily a better movie than Indiana Jones 4. So basically, it's one big incestuous circle.

Brad says:
well. The ideas behind the gameplay is no different. I'd say the gameplay itself have much different feels.

I'm still waiting on an Uncharted racing game, knowing how Naughty Dog made their 4th Crash and Jak & Daxter games a racing title.

You are letting better graphics confuse you with better looks.
PS1 Lara is way hotter than this one. If she was updated with current gen graphics and givin a higher polygon count she'd be fap material, no doubt.

This Lara is way less curvy than Lara Croft was made as. Her breasts and butt is smaller too, I highly doubt it would rival Miranda. This Lara Croft just looks like your average chick, average body with a cute face attached.

What if I told you that this game wasn't MEANT TO BE about vewing Lara, or girls in general, as a sexual object who has no feelings? No life? No hardships?

...yeah. By rating a young Lara through her actions of survival, especially after seeing her getting sexually assaulted, feels rather strange and very "no." But, hey I guess ya'll are just the typical males who will screw anything like a savage and I just happen to be of a better breed of males.

I think it helps a lot that now her curves actually look like curves instead of jaggedy polygons...

Mike J. says:
I think Uncharted copied a lot of elements from Tomb Raider; however, the biggest difference is Tomb Raider is always about the gameplay, puzzles and the adventures while Uncharted paints itself as a movie with endless linear third person shooting. Uncharted basically is a movie, which is the only attraction to trigger gamers to keep playing because they want to know what comes next in the plot, never minds anything else. There's not much variety in its gameplay because all these linear shootings occupy around 95% of the time. uncharted becomes boring really fast once you finish watching all of the cutscenes. So that is the biggest disadvantage it has. Tomb Raider however is a different story, which is why in the long run TR is a much more superior game than Uncharted.

They were two very different games until Tomb Raider Legend, which seems to be the game Uncharted took a lot of its ideas from and went from there and made its own name in gaming.

V. Fernandes says:
Indiana Jones is the originator, then Tomb raider took ideas from it, then uncharted did the same. In fact, Uncharted is more like indiana jones rather than tomb raider.
