As a long time fan of Uncle John and the BRI, I am sorry to say that I was disappointed by this one. The writing is not as good as the other books in the BRI library, nor is the information. I would unhesitatingly recommend the other volumes by Uncle John to anyone...but, sorry, not this one. it seems that BRI is running out of fodder.

I just love reading these books. My Uncle John library is growing by leaps and bounds. The daily bits of trivia I read are helping to keep my mind sharp as I struggle to remember and re-tell the interesting stories I read. Keep them coming, please. I am so looking forward to the book about music coming out next month. Thanks Uncle John.

The bathroom readers are always filled with very interesting stories, this one is no exception. Filled with stories such as the mysterious deaths of lots of people and animals around a lake in Africa this book will keep you entertained for hours.

I was so disappointed with this book. We love the regular bathroom series and were so excited to see them do another book. Don't bother with this one, the articles are not written as well and it is not nearly as interesting. It's hard to believe it's even done by the same people. Stick to regular series and you won't be disappointed.

We bought this for our teenage son for Christmas. He was buried in it all day, carried from house to house. Great gift.

I have read A LOT of Bathroom Readers before, and I can not believe that this book was published (In a good sense). Everyone has a little weird in them, so I recommend this book to everyone!! Its packed with interesting and weird information and facts.

Trivia geeks and lovers of the odd will enjoy this book. It's full of stories that will make you laugh as well as shake your head. As always there are the interesting factoids on the bottom of the pages which add to the appeal of this book. Great stocking stuffer or gift for travelers who might need a fun way to pass the time waiting for their next flight.

Uncle John's bathroom reader World of Odd was extremely entertaining. ODD is what the book is all about. I learned alot and was quite entertained by most of the stories. I highly recommend this book.

Here is a classic match of author and subject. For decades now Uncle John & Co. has been enlightening readers with wonderfully interesting facts, stories and what-have-you on numerous and sundry subjects, a few of which were definitely oddball in nature. If you've been hoping for a whole Uncle John volume devoted to just the odd, the offbeat and the bizarre, your prayers are answered. Here it is...and it's a hoot!

As just a sampling of what awaits the reader - within the book's 321 pages, they will learn of amazing coincidences, celebrity death conspiracies, odd baseball injuries, instances of amazing luck, the weird world of art, quack weight loss regimes, insect oddities, the African lake that burped and killed 2,000+ people, amazing tales of survival, the CIA's attempt to turn cats into mobile listening devices, what happened to at least seven men who tried to steal wire from live power lines(!), lost TV pilots, looney English lords, a museum devoted to body parts, examples of bad writing, odd medical disorders, fried chicken heads and other "tasty" delicacies from around the world, really strange solutions to problems, strange showbiz acts and much, much more.

It's all true and it's all entertaining. Buy it, you'll love it!
