I really love this rice! I work days and go to class nights, so I have to put forth an effort to keep healthy, quick options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for me at all times. This stuff stores well in my desk at work, and all I have to do is bring a package of frozen veggies and some soy sauce for a really fast and semi-healthy lunch or dinner.

As for the comments about the "plastic flavor", I've never noticed that. However, you don't have to keep the rice in the bag to cook it-- you can just as easily pour it into a bowl and heat it that way. I've cooked it in the bag (add a little mzithra cheese and butter- YUM) and other ways, too, and it always turns out great.

As options go for "fast food" this is one of the healthier options I've found. I totally recommend this (probably not from amazon, though, you can usually get these packets cheaper at your local grocery store...)

Have no idea what the dude is talking aboout concerning plastic taste. Maybe they cooked it too long (though that would be kind of absent minded), but they taste great. I just wish it was a tad cheaper.

By far this is the worse rice I have ever tried to eat in my entire life. The rice was not anything like the bag. When I opened it up the rice was a gray/brown color and smelled like dirty rags or a wet dog. I microwaved it anywayt and tried to eat it. It was horrible, just absolutely horrible. I cannot explain in words how bad this stuff is. For the next two days I ran back and forth to the bathroom. This type of product is not safe to eat because the packaging still allows the product to age and ferment.

Will never buy another Ready Rice again. I bought six packages - a variety pack. Just tried the Ready chicken rice tonight and it too is going in the trash. The chicke4n rice tasted rancid and spoiled.

Not as good as the Long Grain and Wild Rice. Since that was not available I tried this Brown Rice. Uncle Ben's Ready Rice products are the best thing since sliced bread. They require zero brains and skill to make.microwave 90 seconds and it is ready to eat. Toss the package. No muss, no fuss. Try them, you won't want to go back to cleaning a pot with stuck on rice.

Not a fan. Has a chemical taste that is either exactly, or very close to that in MREs. The boxed varieties are far superior to this product and in reality doesn't take much longer to prepare. In a pinch or an emergency I wouldn't turn my nose up at this. (By pinch I mean: nuclear disaster, zombie apocalypse, or some other equally horrifying situation. .

I have sorta changed my diet around but i can feel it in my like arms and muscles that the addition of brown rice inplace of any white/yellow dishes has improved the way i feel and my own personal weightloss.

I actually crave this product. i feel like my arms miss them somehow? lol.. i do workout and my body feels happier when i eat it.

I should probably split it into two portions but i eat one whole bag. I cook this on a skillet or nonstick pot with a cover with a lil water and sometimes a lil butter.Good source of arginine and healthy carbs. i feel satisfied from my bread pasta and other cravings when i eat this.
